The Art House is unique in The Hamptons.. i would not normally be looking at Bed and Breakfast however this is very different with very high level of accommodation and facilities... Breakfasts which have everything you could wish for and hosts in Rosalind and Michael that are exceptional. (Also they are lovely people who have created an environment that made us feel as if we were part of the family. Truly relaxing)
Jane and I really thank The Art House B&B for a wonderful stay.

Dear Tony,
It was delightful having you stay with us. You brought your own kindness and sense of fun and that made knowing you both even more special. Thank you for your stellar review and we do hope to see you again.

We travel quite a bit and have experienced a wide spectrum of service and hospitality. We have never felt as at home as we did at the Arthouse. Michael and Rosalind are everything you read in these reviews. They are warm, kind and relaxed hosts that provide amazing service while making it not feel like they are "working". The house and grounds are beyond gorgeous and love, creativity and personal attention are evident in every detail of what they created. The gardens are filled with turtles (to our 2 daughters delight) and the entire setting is extremely tranquil and lush. Being our first time in the Hamptons, we could not have picked a better place as both Michael and Rosalind helped with reservations, recommendations and beach passes to some of the most incredible beaches we have experienced. Breakfast each morning is made-to-order and was the best part of every day for us. These are good people who take you into their home and treat you like family. We would recommend this place to anyone and will definitely return some day.

John, thank you for this great review! Speak about good people, you and your family are so beautiful! We were delighted by your very special, adorable daughters. What a joy to be able to help you and they and Matilda have such a great time. We love what we do and your assessment that our work is our pleasure is so true.
We hope that the glow of your vacation remains with you and that you decide to come stay with us again. Love to you all.

Room tip: all rooms have incfedcible linens and i believe sound proofing as we did not hear a peep! all depends on your budget!

Hi and thank you so much for your review. Speaking of pleasure, as always I have to say that when we see the happiness people experience here we feel that we have made a small difference in the way the busy lives of our guests take a turn toward relaxation and fun when they stay with us. We can see it in our guests' faces as they get into the enjoyment of our area and the goodies we provide.
We hope you'll come back and do have a good time with your ideas for your own house.
Best from Michael and Rosalind

My husband and I came here for our babymoon. We had never stayed at a bed and breakfast before and didn't really know what to expect. Rosalind and Michael were so welcoming, helpful, and gracious without being overbearing. They had the most delicious breakfast that we looked forward to every day.

We highly recommend staying at this beautiful house, the grounds are gorgeous, it's so peaceful, and definitely worth it!

Thank you Rosalind and Michael!

Melika and Minas,
Thank you for the great review. It was delightful to see you so relaxed and happy before your big event. We love "babymooners!" And honeymooners and birthday celebrators and all our guests who come to enjoy a few days respite from busyness and work.
We wish you joy with the baby and hope to see the three of you when you are able to get here again.

There is an ancient Greek concept of hospitality known as Xenia; it is most present throughout Greek Mythology and in the classical Homeric works of the Iliad and the Odyssey. Essentially, the ancient Greeks believed the gods to whom they worshiped walked among them and would sometimes surprise them as house guests to test their generosity. The ancient concept of Xenia requires a host to treat every guest, who comes to their door, as if they were a god; hosts often went well beyond what we, presently, would consider as generous to ensure their house guest was well treated. The East Hampton Art House' s innkeepers, Michael and Rosalind, epitomize the concept of Xenia.

From the moment we stepped onto the property, we fell in love with the beauty, tranquility and comfort of the East Hampton Art House. This was our first visit to the East Hampton Art House and upon entering the door, Mike greeted us as if we were old friends. His warmth and outgoing nature put us at ease immediately as he showed us the infinite amenities throughout their gorgeous home before sitting us down with a map and tracing out walking, biking, and driving routes along the Hamptons. We had also called before we arrived letting him know we would be much earlier than the 3pm check-in time and he was more than happy to accommodate us! Rosalind is just as amiable as Mike, engaging in conversation and offering suggestions as if we were the most important people she has ever met! Their home is magnificent; it is a large sprawling property, tastefully decorated with their own art work. Be sure to checkout their art galleries, they are so talented!

The rooms are comfortable and impeccably clean. Their smaller rooms on the first floor include a nice bed with comfortable linens and a large bathroom which includes towels, toiletries, a shower/tub and a towel warmer! The rooms have a great view of their garden and allow for amazing natural light to come in while affording us privacy. Although we stayed in the regular room downstairs, Rosalind was kind enough to give us a tour of the suites upstairs. Spacious, well appointed and clean with a hot tub, fire place, sauna and enough bathroom space for two people to get ready without ever bumping into the other (a dream of any NYC apartment renter). Beautiful honeymoon like suites for sure!

Since we came in mid-July we were able to take advantage of the pool and outdoor jacuzzi, very zen like. The adorable turtles walking around the property were a cute touch!

We also borrowed two bikes the following morning and rode around the quiet streets eventually getting to the beach. The house is about a 15 minute ride from the main street and about a 15 minute ride to their private beach. They offer their private beach passes too, which is so nice!

In regards to the kitchen, they also keep a fully stocked butler's pantry with everything and anything you can think of for all dietary needs or general desire to munch. While generous with a variety of snacks, the culinary pinnacle of the visit was breakfast after our bike ride. Mike and Rosalind provided us with a breakfast fit for royalty, served on their back patio overlooking the pool and their beautiful flowers. Breakfast is made to order and includes fresh fruit, eggs, potatoes, waffles, fresh juice, toast, delicious coffee and numerous other items all available for our asking.

We have never been so comfortable or relaxed while away as we were at Mike and Rosalind's home this past weekend. A few other highlights that stood out to me as an overly critical and neurotic person: 1) Cleanliness. The small staff is constantly working and cleaning. From what I saw, they have 3 women working in the house and they were always cleaning. This is a massive house and it requires constant attention. These women ensure there is not a speck of dust or unwashed item laying around. They do an excellent job of keeping this house immaculately clean. 2) Kindness. Mike and Rosalind are incredibly kind. One thing that is most impressive is their constantly referring to their guests by name. We were not simply the guests in room 4, we were always referred to as Shannon and Jason whether they were talking to us directly or when I heard them speaking to each other. 3) Privacy. East Hampton Art House is on a residential street but it is secluded enough to create an atmosphere is privacy and tranquility. Also, within the house, there were other guests who we saw at the pool but I never felt we were crowded or did not have any privacy while sharing space in this home. All in all, this was a fabulous place to stay. Mike and Rosalind project their personality onto the house and it makes it more than just a place to lay your head at night. This was an amazing experience and an experience we are looking forward to enjoying again in the future.

Room tip: The suites are amazing!
