Hotel staff was very helpful, but the hotel itself was a disappointment. The room itself was clean and of good size, but we encountered several problems: One evening hot water ran out (manager said parts were unavailable over Presidents Day weekend). Heater/AC was so noisy we had to turn it off, and the desk chair was worn and unadjustable. Hard to believe the facility is only 3 years old.

Our building is in fact 3 years old, pretty new and i am surprised to see of the "defect" on the furniture. We are looking into fixing it and replacing whats needed.

Stayed here several weeks in Jan. - Feb. 2013. Very clean property, good breakfast both in quality and variety. Not much parking outdoors. There is a paid parking lot on site at $15/night. Only reason they didn't get a 5 star rating is that if you have out of the ordinary requests, they aren't very accomodating. I was working nights, and they wouldn't clean the room except during day hours, so I couldn't go to sleep until after they came by. Beds and bedding were very nice and comfortable.

Hampton Inn...staff went out of the way to assist all guests. General Manger (Jim Norris) extremely competent, friendly, and refined. One of the best Hamptons in the U.S. This is perfect for a weekend visit, close to NYC, U.S. Open Tennis, Citifield, and best yet...LGA Airport. The complimentary breakfast was consistently good. Beds not only spotless...clean...but also very comfortable. Flatscreen t.v.'s and WiFi terrific in the rooms. Highly recommend this hotel over any other hotels at LGA or JFK (Marriott and Courtyards do not compare).

Room Tip: Take a higher floor away from the Grand Central Parkway and LGA Airport.

This hotel is right next to the airport with free shuttle service to the airport. Room was clean and quite
with free internet service. Room was modern and bed was very comfortable .

A decent breakfast was provided with no additional charge.

Room Tip: Check the free phone service at the airport and they will come and get you

This hotel was great if you need to stay by the airport, not so great for sightseeing in the city. It took us an hour or more each day to get into the city from the hotel. This was our own fault because we went with price over location and did not properly research how long it would take us to get into the city. The hotel has a shuttle to the subway stop and there is also a bus stop right outside the hotel that can get you to the subway. It is a great location if you need to be by LaGuardia because it is across the street from the airport and they have a free airport shuttle. The service was excellent as well, we booked it through Hotwire and did not have our reservation when we arrived. The staff was wonderful and called Hotwire for us to get the reservation sent to them and they got a room cleaned right away so we could get in it. The hotel itself was a typical Hampton Inn - clean, comfy beds, good free breakfast. No issues at all.

Overall, this is one of the dirtier and more run down Hampton Inns I have been too. The carpet in the lobby and elevators was always dirty and littered no matter what time of day. I can echo what the other reviewer said about your feet being dirty after walking on the carpet in your room. The hotel is also noisy and you will hear planes taking off, freeway traffic, and hallway noise all day and all night. I asked for a quiet room on the top floor upon check in but the guy checking me in put my in a room on the 9th floor right net to the elevator (there are 11-12 floors). There were no restaurants within walking distance except the ones in the lobby of the Marriott and Plaza. Also, the column walls in the lobby looked like someone had stopped painting them in the middle of the job. There was a security guard standing watch in the lobby at night if that is an indication of the neighborhood. On the plus side, the fitness center and breakfast areas were big. The shower in the room was also big and had a sliding glass door. The lady working the breakfast area was very nice.

As a Hilton Diamond member, I stay in over 60 different HIltons in a given year and the LGA Hampton Inn is not worthy of the Hilton brand and I'll explain why:

Upon arrival, the young lady checking us in was not only texting on her cell phone, but yelling at her very own children that were running rampant through the lobby. This was a first for me overall.

The rooms are a typical Hampton Inn, however the air conditioning is loud and dated. It really should be updated to an all system climate control system to avoid the loud noise that it makes.

The breakfast was, believe it or not, served on or in styrophome plates and bowls. That was the true hallmark that this hotel is not worthy of a Hilton title.

Overall, avoid it if you can. There seems to be a nice Marriott across the street.
