We have stayed at the Blackthorne 5 times. We camp there. The have a hotel, campsites and RV's onsite. The property itself is wonderful. The have just built new showers and toilets for the campers. The playground is very nice and the pool is a bit dated but OK. The chickens, bunnies and ducks walking around the property is a nice touch that the kids love, they are also constructing a petting zoo.
The reason that we're unlikely to go there again is that it gets a little rowdy at nightime. There is a bar onsite and the music tends to carry across the property. After the Memorial Day festival the crowd left the bar after closing and continued to party in their tents and RV's until dawn. This Saturday we decided to give it another go but at 4AM all hell broke loose with a screaming, fighting match amongst several people on the property grounds. We were far enough away from it but at night in the countryside it can seem that it's happening right next door to you.
Like I said, the property is nice, it just seems that they need some supervision at night.
