“Nice place for an upscale meal”
Reviewed January 15, 2014 via mobile

The area doesn't have many nicer sit down restaurants, as in restaurants that do not feature burgers, pizza, & wings. The Fire Side does a great job for providing a nice change of pace on the classier side. The food is GREAT! and offers a nice variety. The atmosphere is why its a 4 of 5 rating. There's always so many old people and the seating is very crowded so its hard to have a reasonable volumed conversation without weird looks. I do recommend a McSorley's from the bar though (Irish Pale Ale). It helps you not think about the weird stares, or at least not care. Would highly recommend for a nice night out!

“Over rated”
Reviewed July 29, 2013 via mobile

The place has the potential to be charming but there are far too many tables in such a small room that rather than provide ambiance, the place provides noise and chaos.

I had a baked sweet potato which was wonderful. The salmon as my main dish was dry. My companion had the sea bass which was literally swimming in butter yet still had no flavor. Our waitress was friendly and polite although her associate wasn't sure how to open a bottle of wine or how to properly serve it.

Overall-ok

“Cozy atmosphere and great food”
Reviewed June 5, 2013

Fireside Inn has all the comforts of home. A fireplace lit in the winter months, firendly staff and even the owners dog who greets you at the door. Of course, excellent food choices. During the summer there are car cruises every Wednesday. If you are in the area, a must visit.

“"Dinner with Friends" ....”
Reviewed April 26, 2013

A special opportunity came our way when Springville Art Center sponsored a dinner at the Fireside Inn following the theme of the play "Dinner with Friends". We had lamb shanks served with whipped potatoes, creamed cauliflower and a dinner salad of fresh greens, cukes, radishes and onions or soup (beef stroganoff or french onion). The food was DELICIOUS-fresh, flavorful and served hot of the stove. The rolls were hot and crisp. A glass of wine and a fabulous lemon cheesecake with real graham cracker crust and fresh raspberries-finished our dinner. Service was pleasant and efficient.
We are already anticipating a return visit!

“A Good Find in East Concord”
Reviewed March 24, 2013

What a great restaurant out in the country. The menu is very imaginative. On a Saturday night the place was busy which was a good indication of the meal to come. We were not disappointed. The prime rib was excellent. My wife had a fish dish which was fresh and nicely prepared. The portions are large and you won’t leave hungry. Desserts are especially good – try the peanut butter pie.
