“A perfect peaceful home from home”

We visited the cottages for a family break in August 2015. The owners treated us as part of their family. The children adored it, especially the pony. The views were spectacular. The cottage was spotless and we just loved every moment. With three very small children I didn't think I could relax on a break away. However, the play safe field was perfect as they could play and run to their hearts content and I could relax knowing they were safe. A trip to these cottages allowed us to concentrate on us a family and for that we are very grateful.

“Lovely!”
Reviewed July 18, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Lovely cottage. our hosts were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Great location for Alton Towers and discovering the Peak District. Kids had a great time with Elliot, the pony and playing football in the field . Putting pound coins in the meter and a bath with no shower attachment added to the charm!

“Comfortable pet-friendly cottage in quiet and rural location”
Reviewed July 11, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

My wife and I stayed here during a work trip (for me) to Cheddleton. The cottage is comfortable and convenient for walking/touring in the Peak and Staffs, so the missus had plenty to occupy her and our Cockers while I was at work.
The internet was down for most of our stay, apparently it developed a fault after the previous week's electrical storm.
Overall very pleased with the accommodation and would stay again.

“Comfortable Stay with exceptional views”
Reviewed May 27, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

I stayed at Swallow cottage at Broomyshaw Farm, with my wife and 3 children for 3 nights in May to visit Alton Towers. My parents came with us and stayed at Stable cottage.
On arrival we were introduced to and shown around by Graham.
The cottages themselves were very good value for money only costing a few pounds more than staying in a static caravan, and much more comfortable. They were clean and well equipped even having games and DVD's to keep the children amused in the evenings.
There was a playing field where the kids and I had a game of football and of course the children all loved Elliot the pony. Disappearing off each morning to feed him before we left for Alton Tower.
The location itself is very picturesque, quiet and peaceful and yet still only a few mile from Alton towers (about 10 minute drive).
Graham and Joyce were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble even letting my mum take some cuttings of their plants.
We will definitely be returning next year and look forward to seeing them again.

“A lovely and relaxing stay”
Reviewed January 4, 2015 for a stay in January 2015

We often book a cottage at Christmas/new year to visit family, and are always glad we have done so for the peace and tranquility in the madness of Christmas. This year was no exception.

We were greeted by Graham, who is a wonderful host. Our cottage was spotlessly clean (I sometimes take spare linen in case it's not up to my own standard) but didn't need to! The cottage was perfectly adequate for our needs, our dog and the children. They enjoyed meeting Elliott the Shetland, and we explored the local Peaks with the dog, lots of walks to do! There are also chickens so dogs should be on leads within the farm.

The cottage uses electricity coin meters, and we did spend quite a lot on heating the cottage seeing as it's winter! Fortunately we had lots of £1 coins to use when we got there.

The farm isn't signposted off the main road, so sat nav is a must.

It would certainly be a lovely place to stay in summer too with the kids areas and BBQ areas.
