This is a cute place with fresh sandwiches and soups (and fancy desserts). It is an open space, so it can get a little bit noisy if it is crowded, but it's usually not crowded during the day. There are a number of outdoor tables in front and along the adjacent alley.

Taste is a unique cafe on Main Street in East Aurora. They offer many coffee drinks, baked goods, freshly made sandwiches and salads. Menu items have unique names, parodies on local attractions, such as "Vidler on the Roof" and the "Millard Fill-Me-More" sandwich. Taste is a good place to relax with friends, enjoy a cafe drink or work on your laptop/tablet.

Went to Taste for dessert after a not so great anniversary dinner at E.B.Green's only to be totally disappointed here. Ordered a cannoli, piece of caramel apple pie and 1 decaf and 1 regular. Got the cannoli, got the pie, waited and waited for the coffees. Asked for them and got the regular. She then started brewing the decaf. It came to me when I was done with the cannoli (I did not finish it as the shell was old and hard as a rock). The coffee came with an apology and tons of floating coffee grounds. My partners pie had no bottom crust (must have still been in the pie plate and looked like someone sat on it. No good. His coffee was awful (bottom of the pot) and we left his full cup, his pie and the rest of my cannoli on the table. This place is run by kids. The girl asked how our desserts were and we said "not very good at all". She said "really" and walked away. Also, they need to get rid of the unclean milk and cream carafes. How long do they sit out? They are really unsanitary looking. Skip Taste and enjoy a 79cent coffee at McDonald's. What a way to throw $12 out the window!

Taste is a wonderfully funky, quirky restaurant/meeting place which my wife and I found delightful for both breakfast and lunch.

The lattes and coffee were as good as our favorites at Starbucks. The food has inventive names and even more inventive twists on standard breakfast and lunch fare. I'm not saying it's crazy inventive. Rather, it's small twists and variations on standard fare. Like lobster quesadillas, frozen hot chocolate, tiramisu french toast, Benedict bagels, and the "Millard Fill-Me-More" sandwich. There are dozens of selections available.

While the food is very good, the atmosphere and service are what really makes this place a charm. It's one big open room with brick walls and what I'd estimate to be 16 to 20 foot ceilings. It looks and feels at least 100 years old. The menus are written in multi-colored chalk on boards set on stands and attached to the wall behind the counter. The staff calls you up to get your food by names that are a bit more recognizable than your own. While we were there, "Lady Ga Ga", "Drew Barrymore" and "Nat King Cole" were called up to claim their orders, amongst others.

If your looking for a fun place to go that's also a great place to sit and talk, go to Taste.

Hint: This would be a great first date place.

This place is one of the neatest place, just to hang out and have a specialty coffee drink and pita sandwich and listen to live music. Full of chalkboard menus all over the walls, interior old brick walls high ceilings, even old school desk for some of the seating!
