The Old Orchard Inn blends fine food and a lovely setting into an exquisite dining experience.. This former lodge in East Aurora, New York is a little off the beaten track, but that just adds to the charm. We visited one snowy evening and remarked how it reminded us of the Inn in the movie "White Christmas". It just had the warmth and ambiance that seems to be lacking in many of the franchise operations. The menu, although somewhat limited, offers some wonderful creations and proves the old adage "less is sometimes better."

Try the "Cab Collaway" or perhaps the Sea Bass...yum!!

The server "Joe" has been with the reataurant for many years and is extremely pleasnt and knowledgable and couldn't be nicer.

A great spot to bring your honey.

My Husband and I eat at the Old Orchard about 5 -6 times a year. It can be a little pricey, but for a special time it is worth it. My husband loves the Lamb. Thru out the year they offer a few different cuts . Of course it is family style which is worth the price. The Chicken Pot pie is also a favorite. We also love the 2011 week specials. You can get a great deal on what you might not normally order. Having just returned from Paris,I find the Old Orchard has the feel of eating in Paris. and the food is just as great.

A very quiet restaurant that seems to cater to an older clientele. Food was okay, nothing imaginative, and our meals were not that hot when served. There are more unique and interesting choices for dining in East Aurora. Both the menu and the dining room could use a facelift.

There is no need to determine which restaurant on Main Street to dine at. All of those seem sub par to the dining experience at the Old Orchard Inn, which is located off of the beaten path. The ambience of the restaurant is quite nice - with a rustic and classic charm about it, which I think attributes to the overall appeal. There are a few rooms that you can dine in - my two personal favorites being the one that overlooks a small pond (that is home to swans) and another with a massive stone fireplace adorning one of the walls. The wait staff is always extremely friendly and quite competent. They also will help make accommodations based on your food preferences. The food is probably the best part of the whole dinner. Each meal is accompanied by a salad, bread, and two side dishes that the table shares - a potato and a vegetable. While I generally find myself coming on a day where roasted potatoes are being served, the yams are definitely a treat when they are chosen. The chicken friccasse is the best dish, in my opinion, on the whole menu. It is the epitome of comfort food - gravy laden chicken on a bed of biscuits. It is beyond delicious. It is served with cranberry jelly, which compliments the poultry nicely. It is definitely worth trying. I have brought a number of different friends with me to this restaurant & each one has found the chicken friccasse to be beyond delectable. If you are in the mood to drink, try the hot berry - a combination of juice and brandy. I get it every time I go! (It does not taste as good with rum, so ask for the brandy!) I do not have any complaints about the Old Orchard Inn. It is a hidden gem in East Aurora, since it is not in town with the other restaurants. Honestly, do not go to the array of eateries in the village if you are looking for something different that will satisfy any dining craving! The food at this restaurant, the decor, and the polite, efficient staff will have you wondering why you did not take a drive to this restaurant sooner! Five stars!

Unless you live in the area make sure you follow the signs, we live in the area and have gone to the Old Orchard numerous times for special occations and dinners I personally like the chicken. If you get the chance eat outside it's beautiful even during a storm the pond is right out back, of the patio.
