We went on a Sunday afternoon, and apparently that is now designated as a family fun day with free meals for kids, so it was very busy. The food was good (chicken gyro with feta), but our waitress was negligent. She was busy running back and forth to tables, but seemed to forget things we asked for--extra napkins, water, etc. She tried to do too many things at once. Yes, I feel the food was worth the price and there was certainly plenty of it. Their french fries are to die for--a bit spicy, and delicious. The breadsticks were also very good. There were a lot of waitresses on duty, and all seemed busy, ours was just forgetful.

The prices go up and the food quality goes down. The building looks and smells rundown. It's sad, considering it is one of the few places to eat in Dryden, but the food is just not very good.

After reading the reviews i had second thoughts at eating here on our way to Syracuse University. We sat down and I had the chicken salad. The service was good for this type of place, our waitress was attentive and asked if we wanted something to drink, and about refills. The chicken was a generous portion and I loved the char broiling. The salad was fresh and the bread sticks were a nice touch. My wife had a small pizza, it was not as good as home but it wasn't as bad as some people make it seem. It was made fresh and came to our table really hot. she got the olive, onion and mushroom and it tasted good. The dough is a little bland but that may be a bias we have comparing it to our favorite spot. The decor was very plain, but the place seemed new and clean.

I recently went to this restaurant with my boyfriend and his family for his birthday and what an awful experience.

We were seated in the back of the restaurant, which was fine, except it was cold and dark. Our waitress greeted us quickly and took drink orders. She came back pretty quick with our drinks. When she got back, the last two members of our party had just arrived. She took their drink orders and it probably took 10 minutes for her to come back with them. She took our food orders, out of 7 people, 5 had the fried haddock special, 1 had a grilled pork special and I had a cold antipasta salad. The menu is pretty eclectic - greek, pasta, other italian items, pizza, sandwiches, burgers, etc. She said she would be back with some breadsticks. Another 20 minutes later, everyone got their salads and the breadsticks finally showed up. Salads looked pretty good, but pre-prepared, so 20 minutes was a little silly. Another 25 minutes later, the entrees finally showed up. The waitress came, slammed the tray of food on an empty table behind us and left for about 5-10 minutes. She came back with more food and another table's drinks. My food (antipasta salad with chicken) was fine. But then again, how can you mess up bottled italian dressing & frozen tortellini? I am not exaggerating or lying when i say that EVERY ONE OF THE DISHES WAS ICE COLD (mine was supposed to be cold, so mine was fine). Noone could eat more than that first bite. We wasted another 10 minutes until the waitress finally came back to check in and told her the situation. We asked to see the manager. The owner came to our table. He needs a lesson on customer service. Well, actually, many lessons. We told him that everyone's food was cold. He said "why is it cold"? Seriously? Are you kidding me? That is not what you say to a customer. "What do you want me to do about it?" was the next thing that came out of his mouth. Even worse. He said that he would warm up the food. Fish that people have started to eat thrown back in the fryer = health hazard. My boyfriend and his family said no, that would be terrible. He said, fine, told the server to take the plates and they would make new dishes. We said no, that is not necessary, just give us boxes and we will take it home and warm it in the microwave. He said fine and left. The servers apologized and asked if we wanted dessert. This is not a dessert family, so we said no, just the boxes and the check. She said she would go and ask him to take something off of the bill for our troubles and would be "right back". Another 10 minutes, she came back and said that the owner refused to take anything off of our check because we were taking the food home and he didn't want to "feed anyone for free". No one asked him too. She also said that they tried to convince him not to come to our table in the first place because he "doesn't know how to talk to customers" but now he refused to come to our table. Wrong answers. We got up, stormed to the front of the restaurant and told him, fine, if we don't take our food, is it for free then? He said, no, he needs to pay his bills. And this went on and on and on. He just didn't get it. He did, however, end up taking 50% off of the bill. WE SAVED YOU MONEY AND YOU DON'T GET IT! If you re-cooked the food like you said you were going to, it would have cost you more. The server offered us dessert - if you took the $20 off the bill that 6 desserts would have cost, it would have made everything just fine! If you acted like you cared, instead of asking us why the food was cold, it would have made everything just fine.

You know, Mr. Owner, you said you didn't want to comp anything because you have to pay your bills...guess what - your customers pay your bills, especially repeat ones. If you keep treating your patients like this, you won't have customers and you won't be able to pay your bills!
