This was a short after Xmas break with my wife and we were very pleased. The quality of the food was also very good. I would love to come again. I do not like too long descriptions, so this sentence is more about me than about the hotel.

Staying at Chateau Herálec undoubtedly surpass all expectations. Unobtrusive, but impressive luxury, highly professional service, exceptional cuisine, peace and quiet castle atmosphere, all contribute to a wonderful experience and cause the desire to come back again. I highly recommend it.

Last weekend we discovered hotel Chateau Heralec.
We arrived after sunset and first impression was magnificent. Then we were very pleasantly welcomed, and we got a glass of sparkling wine, maybe one finding – I prefer dry instead of sweet one. Then enthusiastic and profesional receptionist showed me the whole hotel while my husband was reading intently into wine list. Entrance hall and the whole hotel like me very much, architect had to stand out the most important elements, in the hotel is combinated history and minimalism with perfect taste and elegance. We had family suite and it was very spacious, well equipped and comfortable. After a short walk through the park we went to dinner.
There was a little awkward moment, we were waiting at the entrance of the restaurant, that we had been brought to the table (we were there first time and we didn´t know where to go) and long whihe nothing happened. But perhaps we are too demanding guests ;-)The food was very good, iteresting combinations, reasonable portions and delicious taste.
Only small complaint I have with steak, should be „medium rare“ not „well done“. Oh well :-)
Wine list deserves a big attention, hotel owners are proud of the largest collection of wines from the region of Bordeaux. In the evening we drank three bottles of wine :-) because my husband had to taste good year of his favourite brands from Bordeaux ;-) Wine glasses are very stylish, well suited to the style of chateau. By the way, wine was amazing!
Servis is perfect, staff very friendly. Breakfast is served, not buffet, very nice presentation and very tasty. Due to very good spinach omelette for me and excellent poached eggs for my husband and quality strong black tea and coffee our hangover disappeared :-)
Despite a few minor shortcomings we look forward to our next visit, I hope it will be soon and this time with our good friends.

We had the pleasure to spend one day-one night in this beutiful newly reconstructed castle. It was an anniversary surprise for my boyfriend and we both loved the time we could spend there. A lot of extras are included in the room price and we used the possibility to use as much as possible - driving the castle cabriolet, private romantic jacuzziwith bottle of something delicious and chocolate, spa, swimming pool, sauna..... The room was hillarious (Panu z Roupova), personnel super kind and helpfull, young cook (only 19 years old) was absolutely talented and we loved the food there = degustační menu. All together the stay in Chateau Herálec made our day really special. The TOP stay for us sofar. We were absolutely happy and I presume we are gonna be back for another anniversary :) Ideal space to spend not ordinary time

Room Tip: Panu z Roupova was the room I have chosen, huge, full of sun and light, very airy...still for a reas...

If you love French Loire Castles, you will love this place. Location is very convenient close to D1 highway, place charming and service excellent. Attention paid to details, from sekt and rose offered as welcome drink at a reception, through excellent cuisine, georgeous hand made glasses, bathroom l ´ Occitane cosmetics and French music played in restaurant. Nothing is impossible at this place, it virtually makes you To Live Your Dreams.Thumbs up to architects for well preserving gothic & renaissance style of the original building. Excellent French wines selection. Jacuzzi in the tower is top. Make sure to visit Telc nearby or to go horseriding.

Regardless of its position, nesting in a rough nature of Bohemian and Moravian Highlands, it is definately worth to visit. The way from Prague is just as quick as waiting in downtown catching a rush hour, on the highway D1 direction to Brno just off Pelhrimov exit, about 90 km away. Staying in Chateau Heralec was the greatest experience in every sense - lodging, cuisine, interior design and staff approach. We would appreciate little bigger focus on child friendliness but this shall be a minor comment. Fully recommended !!! We will be back for sure !!!
