Typical regional menu, well-prepared a bit "à la campagne".
It was nice sitting on a terrace, outside with a view on the village.
Staff, including madame, was very friendly but didn't bother to ask whether we wanted a "petit café" as final touch. Pity.
Only cash or cheque is accepted, no plastic!!

Not only is chef Monique 's cuisine a treat but the restaurant's ambiance is one of warmth and cheer.

This restaurant is in Bach a village some 25 minutes drive from Cahors. We had lunch (it is, I think, only open for lunch) and whilst all the other customers were French, we were made very welcome and treated to the kind of French cooking that I thought had all but died out in French restaurants and was now only available in peoples homes. They have two menus, both of four courses, one at 18 and the other at 29 Euros. Whichever you choose, you will not be disappointed. Monique the Chef Patron is as much a delight as her cooking. Highly recommended...

Well from the time l made reservations to the time we arrived l knew it would be a good experience!
It's a restaurant like the ones l knew as a little girl and which are so rare nowadays!
I had said that l was vegetarian and they had prepared special dishes for me to choose!
We had a delicious soup and the tureen was left at the table- it was hot and tasted really homemade!
Then we chose a mid course, l had for my main course the best porcini omelette l ever had!
The pudding l chose was a bit disappointing but my friends loved their crème caramel!
It's very good value and on a Tuesday it was packed so book in advance!
You will not be disappointed at all!

We drove some way to have lunch here and were not disappointed. Situated in a small rural village it is worth making the effort to eat here. The menu is a traditional one; we started with a wonderful home made vegetable soup, with pate, lamb and a chocolate cake. All excellent. The lady chef is a friendly ebullient personality and all the staff were friendly and efficient.
