This place is amazing!! My family went to Darien Lake the last week of August 2013, We booked 2 nights at the camping site. The check-in process went smoothly no complaints the staff was very friendly - the first night we had a wonderful time to spend with the family enjoying the rides and the laser show plus all the camping experience, Day 2 we woke up to stormy wet weather we spent a few hours at the arcade to pass the time which the kids really enjoyed, towards late afternoon we went back to our camp site and quickly realized our camp site looked like a lake all around it and our tent was completely soaked our sleeping bags, air mattress were all wet - not fun at all!!
My husband went to accommodations and explained our situation if we can book 1 night at the hotel, the staff was awesome and very accommodating they gave us a room at the hotel we were so grateful.............We would like to say a Big THANK YOU TO THE STAFF AT ACCOMADATIONS!!!

Looking forward to next year trip at Darien Lake...... lets hope no rain this time :)

Our first visit to the park was so great we went back 4 weeks later for another 2 days. Both times we stayed on the grounds. The first time in a trailer and the second time was in the park hotel. We will be going back again but this time we will stay in the cozy looking cabins that wrap around the lake. It was a trip that brought my family closer together and it has a special place in all our hearts. Thank you to the entire staff at Darien Lake for a great summer get away.

We spent two nights tent camping at Darien Lake in the third week of July. We had such fun and the theme park as your neighbour is amazing (during the day). The rides were great, the shows were a blast and the workers were very safety conscience.

Only 4 stars because of the noise. There is an evening laser show every night and that, along with a close by and busy railroad track made for less sleep. The show was over around 11pm but the trains go ALL night and it just echos through the area.

We enjoyed the water park, but one main set of slides was under repair.

We would go again!

We stayed at Darien Lake Sept 6-8 and even though we had terrible weather on Saturday, we wish we could have stayed the week as we had so much fun! There is something for everyone and all ages. We stayed in an RV with slide out, which included a gas barbecue, full fridge, stove and microwave. The RV was used but clean (I brought Lysol spray just in case and sprayed the beds) but we cannot complain. We were 2 adults and 2 children ages 5 and 7. The kids loved the bunk beds! The amusement park was fantastic. My husband specifically loved being able to drink beer in the park! There were plenty of rides and not a line up longer than 5 minutes for any of them! Saturday night, the kids were able to stay on a ride 6 times in a row because there were no other kids in line!

We had a fantastic time and can't wait to book our trip next year to Darien Lake! One tip, buy firewood prior to entering the campgrounds...there are signs at people's houses on the way to the campground so be sure to stop and grab some prior to, otherwise you will pay $7 for a minimal amount of wood at the store inside.

We visited the park this last labour day weekend, rented RV's with 3 day Theme and Water Park pass. The camp ground staff were very nice and plesant. The check-in process was fast, effecient, and slick. However the RV's were lackluster and failed to meet our expectations. We rented the larger RV's with the push-outs, they were relatively clean considering they we never ment to act as "hotel like rooms". However the RV's needed some significant cosmetic repairs. Our's had damage to the wood trim panelling, duct tape repairs to curtians, and the gas grills had see better days. However they were close to the park enterance and provided easy access to the Theme and Water Park.

The Theme and Water Park was is far better shape. We found the Park to be busy but not crowded. We were easily able to navigate the park with our large group (18 Adults & Children) and keep track of the little ones. However, that being said, many of the attractions and rides weren't operating, or operating on a rotational plan i.e. one staff member for two rides. On several occasions rides were stopped for mechanical issues, which seemed to be operational errors by the staff, which casuse lengthy delays while waiting for the maintenance staff to respond. Additionally we found on several occasions we'd spend 20-30 minutes in line to be told be the staff that the ride was closing and denied access. Further frustrating the experiance was the staff. The Theme and Water Park staff were the complete opposite of the camp gound staff. We found them to be rude, uninterested, and completely disengaged. Between the sharp comments or unintelligible grunts from the ride staff and the constant whistle blowing of the life guards, customer service was non exsistance wich significantly detracted from the experiance.

Lets face it Darien Lake is in the middle of no where, its a destination experiance, and as a destination experience it significantly lacked value for cost!
