If you're a coaster lover, you'll find plenty to do at Darien Lake. If you like water parks, you'll find plenty to do at Darien Lake. The bad thing is that the park is filthy. Grime is everywhere. There is not enough hand sanitizer in the world to make you feel clean. And while the water park looks great, the water is disgusting. The shows are mediocre. We had season passes but didn't renew because my kid even noticed how gross the park was. Kids don't notice stuff like that. It's that bad.

I apologize that you had a negative experience at Darien Lake when you visited. During the off season, we've been hard at work to address some of the issues that our guests have brought to our attention. We can assure you that for the 2013 season, you will see some great improvements throughout the entire park, ensuring a clean environment for our guests is a top priority. We are also upgrading our popular laser blast show by adding a reflecting pond, a water screen, high tech production, pyrotechnics and water cannons. "Ignite The Night," will be spectacular. We've also added a new ride, Blast Off and completely renovated the Lakefront Boardwalk area. In addition, we've added new food options, and some healthy options. These are just a few improvements that you will notice for the 2013 season, and we'll only continue to improve season after season. We hope that you will visit us again!

Buying a seasons pass to Darien Lake is a great value. With the addition of a water park you can beat the dog days of summer. In August is Kingdom Bound, a Christian gathering that brings together the nicest people. Get a season log drink cup and popcorn bucket and you will be set.

We have gone to Darien Lake for 6 years in a row. We like to go in June when it is a little cheaper. We live in Ontario, and own a trailer. We stay in the campground and Love it.
I always request the family area, and in the shade. We grab groceries on our way, set up and then hit the park. I have two boys who love the rides and water park. We always buy the refillable cup with 1$ refills, and a beer mug that is 6$ refills of draught beer (equivalent of 2 1/2 bottles). We enjoy that you can drink responsibly any where in the park.
We always make our own dinners, but occasionally grab lunch in the park. Compared to Wonderland, the lines are shorter, the park is smaller but still great roller coasters. The cost is much cheaper than Wonderland.
This year with our seasons passes ($180.00 approximately, for 4) our campsites will be as low as $30 per night.
My biggest complaint would be that in the last 2 years, some rides are closed and they say that it is due to short staff.
Can't wait for Spring and our first day trip with our seasons pass. Booked our campsite already for a visit in June!

We go every two years. I like the fact that you can rent the trailers (they look after these well), which then we take our own food, barbque etc. Showers ran cold last time but that is a first. Great deal, kids love it and we always have fun. Fires with smors every night...fireworks and music!

We went to this resort/theme park in Aug. 2012 to take my daughter and her friend to a Big Time Rush and Cody Simpson concert. It was fantastic. There's something to do for every age. My 6 yr old didn't like the carousel horse ride but totally loved the log rollar coaster ride. He had to go on it 10 times. The concert was terrific-so the kids said:) We didn;t go with them. they said the seats and view was good.

I totally loved how wheelchair accessible it was for the girls. They could roll everywhere....even at night it wonderful-paved everywhere and smooth...no worries of them flipping and hitting bumps. It could use a few more lights from the park to the hotel. There wasnt a restaurant in the hotel-which made it a lil inconvenient. They had a snack bar -but again limited snacks and food that were gluten free. My son has to eat gluten free and diary free too...We just travel with stuff he can eat so it was fine.
The Italian Restaurant was a nice surprise to have in a theme park. The hotel was great and they were very accommodating for my daughter and her friends with their wheel chairs. The rooms were clean and spacious. We went to the city nearby for shopping so that was fun for the girls as well. Their morning buffet had too many starchy foods and not enough fresh fruits, etc...i avoid gluten so it was hard to eat there. we only ate there one of the mornings.
it poured rain our last morning and the night before. But we all survived with umbrellas and raincoats. Overall,,it was a fantastic time and lots of fun memories were created ...good times!
