The Pumpkin Blaze was nice but a little overrated. We went on a weekday and had tickets for the first showing, so parking and crowds were not a problem. I feel the admission was too high for what they offered especially if you brought kids. But the displays were pretty and it was fun to walk through. I am glad I went but feel not need to go back

See over 5,000 jack-o-lanterns in one amazing place! Must reserve tickets as this event sells out. Great for little kids and kids at heart. A Happy Hollow Eve's event. The Great Pumpkin would definitely give this event a two thumbs up!

Went to the much talked about "Pumpkin Blaze" with my wife, niece and nephew for the first time last night. It's nothing like I've ever seen - a terrific display, simply breathtaking scenes of carved pumpkins in all shapes, sizes, and types.

But as much as this was great to see, the negatives outweigh the positives, making this an "average" experience that I would probably never do again.

1) Too crowded - I expected there to be a lot of people, but the crowd just simply became too much. When we approached the house with all of the pumpkins on the front porch, there was a bottleneck. No one was moving, people were pushing and shoving, trying to take pictures. It was uncomfortable. If you're claustrophobic, stay away. It was very hard to move around and walk freely - you felt like people were on top of you - this took away from the experience, greatly.

2) Too dark - I get it, it's a pumpkin blaze, it's Halloween, it needs to be dark, but in some spots, it was simply too dark. It was hard to see in front of you and hard to walk. It is especially difficult when you have a 3 and 4-year old with you.

3) Doughnut prices are ridiculous - There's nothing better than a nice warm, freshly made doughnut. Don't expect to find this at the Pumpkin Blaze - they were selling a 6-pack of apple cinnamon doughnuts for $9!!! And they weren't even made fresh there, they were in a package. Price gouging at its best!

Overall, this is fun to do ONCE, but I would not come back. I think you can have a better experience pumpkin picking/corn maze for a lot cheaper the price (this was $20 a ticket and lasts about an hour).

My family and friends have been going to this event for the past 5 years. We would not miss it. Every year is just as amazing as the last. Great family outing for all ages!! The pumpkins are pure eye candy and the atmosphere really gets you in the mood for Halloween. We drive 1.5 hours and it's worth. We make a night of it - have dinner nearby (lots of choices) then head to the blaze. You must order tickets early late Aug/early Sept especially if you want a Fri or Sat night. Dinner reservation at local restaurants for blaze nights are also a must! Highly recommend anyone to go...it's spectacular!!!

This was truly a wonderful experience, and yes this can be done in the rain. The crowd moved appropriately, and the sound effects as well as the scenery were spectacular adding to the whole effect of the experience. We were unable to attend 2 years in a row related to scheduling dilemma's, however, this was our first wonderful year, and we plan on continuing our experience with our children in the future.
