“WAY overpriced, Smallest portions, pizza has like zero toppings!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 2, 2011

Wow, I will never go here again. Sadly it is one of the few pizza places in town so they do drum up a lot of business, but dont let that fool you. When you order a topping on the pizza, you are lucky to feel like you even have any on it. The subs are so TINY! I ordered a chicken parm sub and had one small tender on each side of the roll. More like bread with some chicken and sauce.

The restaurant itself is well cared for and nice inside.

Anyway, avoid it unless you are unable to eat anywhere else!

“Should be better!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 2, 2011

I am a local and although the decor is nice, the food is lacking! For a pizza place, the pizza should be better. The wings are good... IF.... they have changed the oil recently but beware they are pricey. Our last ordered included a large house salad, it was lettuce, 2 cherry tomatoes, onions, shredded mozz. and 6 croutons. Shameful! We are careful not to order meals with a lot of sauce as it tastes like it comes straight from the can. Oh, by the way if you order a calzone - which are tasty..the side of sauce will cost you extra. Cheesy! Wish the food was better and the prices more reasonable.

“Decent Pizza -- Pricey Bar”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 9, 2009

This is not the place to go for bargains, unless all you want is a big pizza and tap water to drink. The bar is sort of over priced -- beers are $3.50 to $5.50, which is probably normal, but in Coxsackie the beers should be a bit less expensive -- $3.50 for a Coors Light -- Please!

Individual slices are also expensive, so the best value is the jumbo pizza and a carafe of house wine. Almost like the type of deals I got in Carroll Gardens, Greenpoint and Bensonhurst in Brooklyn. Only the mom & pop places in Brooklyn with a bar were way less expensive. So almost like home, just pricier.

Recommendation: For a simple square, slice try Griffins. For a group, get the largest pie you can.

“Nice restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 7, 2008

I stopped here for some food and to wait out a thunderstorm. The service was very good and the entree portions were huge. The pizza was a bit lackluster, but the area and environment was really nice. The food took a while to cook, but overall you can catch a nice dinner here.
