A great little restaurant that is not trying to be pretentious or flambouyant. Great food at a good price with attentive and pleasant waitress - Katie. My wife had the wedge of lettuce with pumpkin seeds, orange segments, and crumbled blue cheese. Very crisp and refreshing to start the meal. I had to try the roasted sweet potato soup, mascarpone with toasted bourbon marshmallow. Fantastic!! Great flavor and texture. The marshmallow silently melted over the surface of the soup and enhanced the flavor to a next level of deliciousness. While my wife had the baked cod over white beans (she said was very good), I ventured for the Signature dish of seafood mac and cheese. That was penne with enough fresh crabmeat and shrimp to 'sink a battleship' in a truffled parmesan cream sauce. A fabulous tasting dish with flavor and home cooking love. Only etiqette prevented me from licking the bowl!! The feeling of sitting in a one room schoolhouse was a little stretch, but at least it was better than traditional 4 walls and pictures. They also serve Sunday brunch.
