“A Bistro Best”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 7, 2013

A great little restaurant that is not trying to be pretentious or flambouyant. Great food at a good price with attentive and pleasant waitress - Katie. My wife had the wedge of lettuce with pumpkin seeds, orange segments, and crumbled blue cheese. Very crisp and refreshing to start the meal. I had to try the roasted sweet potato soup, mascarpone with toasted bourbon marshmallow. Fantastic!! Great flavor and texture. The marshmallow silently melted over the surface of the soup and enhanced the flavor to a next level of deliciousness. While my wife had the baked cod over white beans (she said was very good), I ventured for the Signature dish of seafood mac and cheese. That was penne with enough fresh crabmeat and shrimp to 'sink a battleship' in a truffled parmesan cream sauce. A fabulous tasting dish with flavor and home cooking love. Only etiqette prevented me from licking the bowl!! The feeling of sitting in a one room schoolhouse was a little stretch, but at least it was better than traditional 4 walls and pictures. They also serve Sunday brunch.

“Worth the Trip!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 7, 2013

Purchased a Groupon to give this place a try. It is a little outtta the way but So worth checking out. A super cute place with Charm!
Had the Butternut squash soup with Marscapone & Marshmallow & The special Fried Goat Cheese over salad as appetizers Incredible! For Entrees Wifey had the Butternut Squash Ravioli in Brown Butter Sage Sauce over pumpkin puree with roasted sweet potato & toasted pumpkin seeds (Out of this World) & I had the Brined Porterhouse Porkchop with mashed potato & creamed spinach (Ridiculously Good). Homemade Ice Cream Scoop of Toasted Coconut & a scoop of Hazelnut, how many places do this?
Don't understand the bad reviews. The Service (Ian) was attentive without being overbearing & the Food both Compliment each other.
Can't wait to go back!

“What a shame”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 20, 2012

This place has taken a steady nose dive over the last 6 months. Everything from portion size to wait staff. The bartender is a mess. The place needs an overhaul. I was really impressed when we first started going there and was able to look past a lot of things because the food was that good I cannot recommend this place any longer.

“Not Impressed”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 15, 2012

We went to this restaurant to purchase a gift certificate for a family as a gift and decied to stay for dinner. We were thoroughly unimpressed with the food and the atmosphere is terrible. The carpeting is filthy and this restaurant is in serious need of a major renovation. It was a Friday night and it looked like a week night inside - very few tables were occupied. The staff is very pleasant but the food is not impressive at all. The spicy calamari appetizer had sauce right out of a bottle. The lamb bolognese was unimpressive. I would skip this restaurant there are plenty of excellant choice near by!

“Mediocre”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 26, 2012

I will admit that I went with a Groupon to this restaurant recently having eaten there before. The food was fine but nothing special. All the reviews of the spicy calamari were so good that we tried it but although it was crispy I didn't think it tasted like anything unique. It tasted like fried calamari with bottled thai chili sauce spooned on top. I had an ahi tuna sandwich that was a special. It had nice flavor with the spicy slaw on top but the slighly stale roll overwhelmed all and I couldn't really taste anything unless I removed some of the bread. My husband did like his steak frites very much though. The bread on the table was warm but not had no taste and I watched them remove it from plastic bags from the supermarket; not worthy of a nice restaurant.
