A real international find in this small upstate city. A wide range of authentic Lebanese dishes, prepared on site by the 2nd generation of the family who started the restaurant. Always delicious, hot and appealing. Lentil soup is a must. Shishtawooc (Marinated char-broiled skewer of chicken served with rice & salad or soup when available) is my favorite! The "go to" place to take prospective candidates from the local college.

Visited this restaurant during the weekend that students returned to SUNY Cortland so it was very hectic. Nonetheless, the staff here ran their tails off to keep all the customers happy. Menu consists of your basic Lebanese cuisine, but what I had: tabouleh, pitas, soup, and falafel was fresh and tasty.

Stopped by here for a quick lunch while I was in town. Had the sampler platter with babaghanoush, hummus and falafel. Could have used more seasoning on the babaghanoush, but the hummus was perfect. Ordered the gyro as my meal - wished there was more meat in it, but it was great. Friends ordered the lamb, and the meat was cooked really well. Service was good - and overall servers were very friendly.

We were passing through Cortland, NY and were looking for a place to eat that might be a little different from the usual fare at interstate highway interchanges. The Pita Gourmet is on Main St, about a one mile drive from Interstate 81 Exit 11, and is well worth the short drive. The place really doesn't look like much, but the staff were friendly and accommodating, and when we let them know that we were a little pushed for time, the service was lightning fast. The food was very good. The tabouleh was fresh-tasting and savory, and the kufta and chicken gyro were slightly crispy and nicely spiced. Prices were very reasonable. I'll definitely be eating there again.
