I always use this hotel when visiting my companies US office in Elmont. As mentioned in other reports the reception staff are all extremely helpful particularly Rita who always welcomes guests with a smile and a helpful attitude. The Pines bar is always lively and mecca for those looking for sports entertainment.

Rooms are of the typical Holiday Inn style and are clean and of reasonable quality. The hallways could do with a makeover but all is acceptable.

The fitness center is well equipped and the pool is always clean and well maintained .

If you are looking to stay

Room Tip: The 8th floor is typically quiet

If you are a Mets fan this is the hotel for you!! Its right across the street from Mets Stadium!!! The rooms are small but serviceable, however it is clean, and the staff is wonderful! The restaurant in the hotel is just OK, the food was bland. There is a metro stop right down the street. We only stayed a night and everyone was so nice! Great for a quick stay!!

Stayed here before and enjoyed the value. Exciting for Iowa kids to see Citi while having a soda from the lounge. Staff was friendly, rooms were sufficient, and great location for any out of town Mets fan. Will definitely stay here next time we are in town to see The Amazins!!

The hotel is a great place to stay if you like to be able to walk to baseball games. It was three blocks away and there were police at corners before and after game time. The rooms are a bit small and the bathroom is also, but they were clean. Internet in room was free but slow. Staff was very helpful to give us a subway map and great directions to where we wanted to get to in Manhattan. Train station was just 4 blocks away, easy to get to but wouldn't want to do that at night. The Pine Restaurant was great food but service left a lot to be desired. You were told to seat yourself but no one wanted to wait on our table of four adults. We sat for awhile until someone finally brought us water and menus. They almost seemed to be arguing over who would come take our order. The bus boy was more helpful, he brought a bread basket immediately. Portions were large though and a decent price for New York. There is no where else to eat nearby except a pub near the ball field. We also had breakfast in the Pine Restaurant both mornings of our stay and that was much better service and ok food.
Would stay again if only going for a game but wouldn't want to be there more than a day or two.
Did not hear planes all night though, which was a plus.

The check-in folks are great. The rooms are OK. The staff at the Pine Restaurant should all be replaced - They'll come over to you when THEY are ready.
There isn't anything close by for food choices and the neighborhood is NO place to be after dark.
If you're going to a Mets game, it's IDEAL and right across the way from LGA. OK for a short overnight stay, but wouldn't recommend it for anything else.

I chose this hotel because it's close to LaGuardia, but didn't want to hear airplane noise constantly. It was a wise choice - I didn't hear an airplane during my entire stay. The hotel is in a nice neighborhood, and the rooms are great. A very good value considering what hotels in Manhattan cost. And it has a lively sports bar with good food. My only complaint is that the Internet speed was inconsistent and a bit slow. I'd definitely stay there again when I need to be near the airport.

Rooms very dated and whole place kind of dingy. Lots of airline crews stay here, no free internet in lobby (but free wireless in rooms---but hard to print a boarding pass), not much close bye to walk to. Can walk to subway. If going to go to a game at Citi Field or just stuck in NY for a night OK. Otherwise stay somewhere else.

Restaurant in lobby had OK food to be honest and was a good place to have a drink in the evening. Gym limited.
