We can't say enough wonderful things about Jones Farms! We adore the family and love their shop. From Grandma Phoebe's bakery items, the locally grown/made or produce to the wonderful local artisians item grown and/or produced here in the Hudson Valley makes it all the more special. The staff is fabulous - all make for an amazing win-win visit. The farms

“Worth a little detour”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 26, 2012

I feel a bit richer today for my experience at Jones Farm & Country Store. We saw the sign while out and about and thought to take a quick gander. Well it did not take me more than two steps from the bike and an eyeful of young chickens to get me all excited! Even though we have chickens at home I still get so excited whenever I see them elsewhere. :)))

Inside their building the first floor is dedicated to foods-cookies, muffins, fudge, artisan dried pastas, condiments and also to a bee colony with access to the outdoors through a tube! They offer outdoor seating beneath umbrellas and don't be too surprised if one of the lady hens comes by looking for a snack. They are very sweet and friendly. No sweeter people (the lady inside) will you encounter within a 20 miles radius, no doubt. Just people as they have always been gracious, welcoming and kind.

Then the upstairs is the country store with gifts galore. If you are in need of a baby gift or gift for a young person they have cornered the market as far as I know, which is not much, when it comes to such things. They had soy candles, jewelry, fun signs, wind chimes (too bad we were without car as I would have gotten the super big ones), as well as so many more things.

Donuts are warm, soft, and fresh. They freeze well too and just plain tasty.

“A small farm with tasty treats”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 15, 2012

There are no roaming animals, but chickens; they are very addicting to watch! The farm is surrounded by rolling hills and fields. The "general store' is stocked with all kinds of hand-made treats and well appointed with period odds and ends including a working bee hive.
