“Charming, warm, inviting, and delicious experience”
Reviewed March 22, 2010

This restaurant was recommended to us by the Cromwell Manor Inn. We like German food so we went hoping it would be good. It was better than good, it was excellent. The chef owner Hans came out to greet us and my friend spoke German with him. We ordered Escargot, Pan Seared Pork Tenderloin Zurichoise, Grilled Twin Filet Mignon Canterbury with melted gorgonzola and topped it off with spaetzle and that delicious red cabbage dish. The staff was pleasant and attentive. We enjoyed it so much, we went back the next night for appetizers overlooking the Brook on the terrace. Try the cheese fondue and the pappardelle noddles. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will go back often.

“Cozy, Quaint and Delicious!”
Reviewed March 21, 2008

My boyfriend and I decided to try The Canterbury Brook Inn as part of "Hudson Valley Restaurant Week". We were enticed by the menu they posted online. We were more than pleasantly surprised by the entire dining experience!

The restaurant itself is warm and cozy, with fireplaces in the dining areas to add to the romantic ambiance! The staff looked like a bunch of local high school students, however, they were surprisingly well trained and very attentive to customer needs. My glass was never empty!

We both decided to order from the four course restaurant week menu and were extremely pleased with our choices! We enjoyed every bit of our meal from the warm bread to the crispy apple fritters! The Spaetzle is delicious, I've been talking about it ever since I ate it!

We are looking forward to dining at the Canterbury Brook Inn again!
