Pricier than what we were looking for but the room was nice & staff friendly. Location was convenient to the city & several restaurants. The fire alarm did go off at 2:00 AM for about 60 seconds, a false alarm, but otherwise a decent experience. Would recommend to a friend who had extra money to spare.

I spent the night here on a overnight trip to area. I wanted to spend a few nights here but even as a Marriott Platinum member I wan't able to get a room for the other nights. They had prevented this through Marriott so there was nothing that could be done.

Check in was fine. The room they gave me didn't have a working AC unit. I walked back out with my luggage and asked for a different room. The desk person said that she didn't have any other rooms to give because the place was oversold. She suggested that I fix the AC by hitting a switch, which wasn't there, becuase the maintenance guy was already home for the day. I told her that I wasn't going to stay in a room with no AC, and she eventually found a room for me. I feel sorry for who ever they stuck in that stuffy room, but the hotel needs to be able to sort out these types of problems.

The other room was fine. AC worked well. Bed was OK.

The desk lady was great, but they gave her no recourse when this type of situation occurred.

We stayed here for three nights while touring western New York State. This ended up being the best lodging we had out of five different locations. At first when we drove up to the hotel I was not thrilled with the location as it is near to the freeway and behind two restaurants. The hotel itself was great though. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The room was very nice with comfortable, plush bedding. Also very clean. Our window looked out on the freeway and although there was a little noise, it was definitely not a problem. We both found the hotel to be very quiet all three nights we were there. The breakfast area was very nice and the there was a large variety of breakfast items served, more than most hotels. The staff in the breakfast area were welcoming and helpful. Corning is a good base to visit different places as well as a very nice town in its own right. The Corning glass museum is fantastic and so worth a visit. You can drive to Watkins Glen and Seneca Lake in approximately 45 minutes; the lovely town of Hammondsport and Keuka Lake is also about 45 minutes away. If we are ever in the area again (which is doubtful as we live on the west coast) we would definitely stay here.

This hotel served as a wonderful launching point to the Finger Lakes Region where my wife and I were able to enjoy the local wineries and the beauty of upstate New York. To that extent, the location is the best thing about this hotel, as it is sufficiently close to Interstate 86, yet under an hour away from dozens of wineries, Ithaca, the Finger Lakes, Watkins Glen, and more. It is also a great place to stay to enjoy Corning, though it is not within walking distance of the downtown; and there are a number of fast food restaurants, drug stores, and grocery stores nearby.
Aside from the location, we also found the rooms to be clean and the staff to be very helpful. The free breakfast was consistently well-stocked, and we were able to choose from a very good variety of breakfast foods. The pool looked great, and the hotel offered a business center, a fitness room, and a pantry of snacks and drinks. Housekeeping does a nice job of keeping the rooms clean, the beds are very comfortable, the TVs are relatively new, and we appreciated the recycling bins around the hotel.
That being said, the breakfast area is a bit too small for the size of the hotel, as is the fitness room. The business center is located at the front desk, and it would be nice if this were given a more definitive space. The hallways are a bit bland, as are the design of the room. These, however, are admittedly minor complaints.
We truly enjoyed our stay, and we plan to return to this hotel the next time we visit this area.

The room and bathroom were very clean and up-dated. The desk clerks (Colleen & Rebekah) were both very helpful with recommendations and they gave cards with directions to anywhere we wanted to go. The doors to the hotel are not automatic and do not stay open making it difficult to get through with a luggage rack. The lobby, common area and breakfast area were very small (however it was very clean). Some guests remained at the table well past finishing their breakfast, no fault of the hotel just society.

OK but room needs work. Some peeling wallpaper and the air conditioner stank of mold/mildew.

Stopped at this hotel for one night. Room was very clean. Requested a room that was not on the highway side and was graciously switched. Not sure how noisy highway side was, but I didn't want to take a risk. Breakfast was surprisingly good. Nice woman helped everyone get their food and maintained a clean eating area.

Good location for quick overnight stay. Visited Corning Glass Museum which was an inexpensive and interesting break. Had dinner in the Gaffer District on Market Street which was surprisingly nice and clean. Cute restaurants with interesting menus. Corning makes an obvious effort to present a nice area for visitors. I don't think Corning is a necessary destination, but it is a great place to stop in central New York with a cute town and nice restaurants.
