The museum is now high tech, well laid out and has very interesting exhibits. The demonstrations were professional and captivating. A great place to visit to see the history of glass.

“Corning Museum of Glass”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

Make your own glass was a wonderful experience for our kids. A bit expensive but a great souvenier and memory! Kids got bored with other areas.

Thank you for taking the time to review your museum experience, especially highlighting your Make Your Own Glass workshop at The Studio! We hope our live demos and galleries gave you great inspiration for your projects and that the souvenirs will remind you of your winter adventure learning about the world of glass. With a variety of techniques available and price points starting at $12 we hope you return to try a seasonal item or other project to expand your personal collection! Thanks again for the review of your family's visit to CMOG!

“A HUGE place to visit”
Reviewed February 23, 2013

This was my second time here (the first being with a field trip of 5th graders) and I was impressed both times. We spent quite a few hours strolling around and really loved each part. The live glass show is a must-see.
Tickets are reasonable. There is a small discount with AAA and kids under 19 were free!! The cafe also has pretty decent food.

Thank you for exploring CMOG again! You're right about the hugeness of the facility -- it takes space to fit everything about the art, history, and science of glass into one place. Hopefully they told you that your ticket was good for 2 consecutive days (in addition to the 15% discount for AAA members). We do this so as not to overwhelm our guests in a single day but to allow you to absorb all of the great objects, special exhibitions, and live demonstrations. Thanks again for taking the time to review.

It looks like you took the opportunity to visit an attraction in your backyard. We are thrilled that you had the opportunity to come see what is new at The Corning Museum of Glass. Be sure to check out our upcoming exhibitions to learn even more about the art, history, and science of glass. The shuttle bus you mentioned also goes downtown to The Rockwell Museum of Western Art and other parts of the Gaffer District for added convenience. It runs a continuous loop during museum hours (9a-5p with extended hours 9a-8p Memorial Day-Labor Day). Thank you again for the review!
