“Great Museum to Visit”
Reviewed October 9, 2013

We were visiting Corning for the Wineglass Marathon and decided to visit the Rockwell Museum before the marathon expo opened. The woman at the desk was very friendly and when she found out we were in town for the marathon she checked and found out we had free admission! The museum was showing an exhibition of works by Hogue, which was very interesting. The regular exhibitions were shown on two floors, including works by Remington and other sculptors. Overall a very nice museum to check out if you are visiting Corning.

“Only Partially Open”
Reviewed October 7, 2013

When we went, two of the gallery rooms were closed. We were not told this when we bought our tickets and we paid full price.
These two rooms comprise a large portion of this rather small museum.

I'm not a big fan of western art, but for those who are, they have a very varied selection both of traditional western art and more modern western art.

When you go, check to see if all the rooms are open, if not, it is overpriced.

“Small but well worth a visit.”

Excellent collection of the US Wild West: paintings and sculptures by, among others, Remington and Russell, beautifully displayed in attractive rooms. An hour's visit will let you enjoy the collection at your leisure.

“Amazing Collection of History!”
Reviewed September 23, 2013

The Rockwell is another MUST SEE when in Corning. Even if you are not big on Western art and artifiacts you will be by the time you leave. The Museum store was a little disappointing.
