“They had us with the ipad wine list!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 26, 2013

Classy little restaurant with a great wine list (and the fun of ipad searching)- particularly the by-the-glass selection. The food was delicious and we're still talking about the s'more dessert. The menu descriptions were a little "busy" with ingredients, which had us a little worried but the combinations were great.

“Great tappas and view of quaint Market St”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 4, 2013

My wife and I stopped in here for a great little dinner on the way to Rochester. We were welcomed in from the cold outdoors to a comfortable table by the window. The service was quick and courteous. I had a delicious salmon with capers over red potatoes. I enjoyed every bite. My wife's meal was also very good. A great little place, because we were on the road, we were sad we couldn't stay a little longer.

“A pleasant surprise”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 5, 2013

My wife and I are Germans living in the US. One of the reasons we are homesick is the general lack of decent restaurants outside of big cities. Seldom does a restaurant have the balance of ambiance, service and food that meets the standards of even the lowliest village restaurant in Europe. We stopped by the Cellar for wine and hors-d'oeuvres one afternoon and they hit it right. We ordered a great white burgundy and 3 starters. The starters were scrumptious. The server was knowledgeable, interested in our experience and helpful. He went out of his way to have the cook make us a cheese plate. The wine was expensive, but worth every penny. The ambiance is good for an American restaurant, but a little cold for our tastes. We've been here 3 other times and they usually at least get close. We recommend The Cellar if you're in Corning.

“Great appetizers to share with friends!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 11, 2012

A group of four shared there appetizers and they were very good. Recommend the nachos, Brussels sprouts and the spinach fondue. With a glass of Finger Lakes wine, it was a great combo. I wish they carried more local wine options.

“Incredible”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 10, 2012

Noted for their outstanding wine selection, The Cellar is already becoming a go-to place in Corning when you want a really special meal. Skip the steak houses. The steaks you get here are the best we've ever had. Pricey, but worth it.
