“Fabulous stay at the Inn at Cooperstown!!”
Reviewed March 12, 2013

My husband and I just came back from the Bed & Brew weekend and had a terrific stay. Our friends who we traveled with had been there before and we were so happy they included us with their return trip. The Inn is great - nice rooms with good size bathrooms and hot showers! Very nice linens. Everything is very clean throughout Inn. The first night on Friday was a big party with the other guests sampling brews everyone had brought. The owners mixed in with everyone and were great hosts. The next night was the tour and dinner at Ommegang which was a blast. Great food and beer - and the brewery kitchen was quick to accomodate special diet needs which was very appreciated. We drove in from Michigan and it was worth the trip!! Would love to return -

Hi Jennifer! So happy to hear that you and your husband thoroughly enjoyed our special bed & brew package with Brewery Ommegang. The brewery and the inn like to ensure that our guests have a VIP experience during each weekend this package is offered. Thanks for taking the time to write such a nice review and to drive all the way from Michigan! We would love to welcome you again one day soon.

The Inn is lovely and very comfortable. The staff is friendly, accommodating and very helpful and the innkeepers, Marc & Sherrie, go out of their way to help you feel welcome, comfortable and "at home", away from home. The Inn is well situated in town to be accessible to restaurants and local attractions as well as a lovely walk to the beautiful Lake Otsego. There are additional attractions and restaurants a short drive away. The rooms and the public areas were clean and well maintained and the decor is tastefully done in keeping with the era of the Inn and also in keeping with modern standards of comfort. The Innkeepers have a variety of interesting weekend packages offered and we would recommend any of them. Lots of charm and an atmosphere conducive to meeting and making new friends over breakfast in the morning or coffee/tea & cookies in the afternoon. We highly recommend the Inn at Cooperstown for a home base to exploring the area.

I bought the bed and brew package for my husband for Christmas and we both loved it! The Inn is charming...beautifully restored and decorated. The owners, Marc and Sharrie are delightful, hands on and go out of their way to make sure your stay is completely enjoyable. The Inn is in a very convenient location allowing you to walk almost everywhere. The Cooperstown Winter Carnival was held during our stay which offered lots of additional fun things to do. Watching fireworks during a blizzard is something we will never forget! The meet and greet night is a great idea and it was fun to share our home brews with the other guests. Ommegang was amazing! Our dinner was very good, but a little too spicy. The gifts included in the package are all top quality. We left our weekend feeling the package was a very good value. We stayed in one of the suite rooms and loved having the wet bar and refrigerator. Thank you Marc and Sherrie for creating an awesome package ... We loved our stay and hope to visit again soon!

The Inn is located within walking distance to everything you could want in Cooperstown. My husband and I stayed for an event at the Otesaga. The Inn is beautifully done and the breakfast frittatta was YUMMY! The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. I recommend this place to anyone staying in the area looking for reasonable rates. The only con would be there is a little street noise in the morning but no more than expected when the town begins to bustle.

Thanks so much for taking the time to write a review of your stay at the inn. We appreciate all feedback and enjoy hearing from guests who are "locals". The inn is a top choice for those who are attending events and conferences at the Otesaga because it is a very short walk to the hotel. Thanks also for the compliments on our breakfast. We look forward to having you stay with us in the future.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights while traveling to see the Baseball Hall of Fame. The staff is extremely friendly and knowlegable and the Inn is very clean. The Inn has been restored, so expect and "inn" feel. We love old architecture and appreciated this appeal. There are no TV's in the rooms, which we were happy about because we were able to cuddle up with a good book. Rooms have their own temperature control and we were hot because we turned it up too high expecting the place to bleed heat considering the age, which was not the case. We can comment on the breakfast because we slept too late to enjoy it. Beds very comfortable, but a bit concave to the middle. Rainfall shower updated and pleasant. The Inn is about a 60 second walk to the Main Street where everything is. Prime location.

My husband and I just returned fron the beer and brew package. The inn is located in town, and everything is within walking distance, including the Baseball Hall of Fame. Friday was a nice reception with folks bringing their own beer- chips were served. If you are not a beer lover, this weekend is not really for you-from what I understand, the inn only books rooms for the people signed up for the package, which is good as it got a little noisy on Friday and Saturday night. People coming back got a little noisy, and I had a few college dorm flashbacks.
Saturday is your day to explore the town, and then meet the bus for the Ommegang dinner and tour. The brewery is exceptional, and the dinner was fantastic. The bus on the way there is a school cheese bus, and the heat was cranked up! After the dinner there was time to shop in the gift shop. The staff at both the inn and the brewery were very nice and friendly. Each morning, a light breakfast was served. Overall, a good time for beer lovers!

Room Tip: If you cannot climb stairs, ask for a room on the first floor.

My husband and I returned today form a two night stay at the The Inn at Cooperstown for their Bed & Brew Package. We were looking forward to the trip since finding it online, as the brewery makes some of my husband's (and now my) favorite beers. We were treated so wonderfully from the moment we checked in until the moment we left. Upon arrival, we were given a tour of the property, told to please ask if we wanted direction or recommendations to any of the area attractions and restaurants and escorted to our room. A huge plus was the ability to make coffee, tea and cocoa at anytime in the tastefully decorated parlor and sitting area. We took advantage of the free draft beer with an entree coupon that came with the room and went to The Pit right around the corner. A 1lb lobster for $15 and a free drink AND perfectly prepared? Sure thing!

The room was cute and comfortable. We opted for a king size bed, which had a more than acceptable mattress for my bad back. The wifi was fast and worked just fine with no glitches. There was no tv in the room, which was expected and preferable, as we spent no time in the room other than sleeping and preparing to go out. Most importantly, the room was kept warm and comfortable, as this was January, after all.

The craft beer night was memorable and comfortable. The brewers from Ommegang are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet, and together with the owners, Marc and Sherrie, you could tell that they truly enjoy what they do and why they do it. This was really my first "group" type weekend and many of the guests came together, or had met at previous years. I know why. We'll be telling all our friends to meet us there next time :)

I was surprised to read some of the lesser starred reviews about the free breakfast. This isn't a restaurant. The fruit was fresh and plentiful, the baked goods and bread were delicious and fresh and the quiche was perfectly cooked. Coffee, tea, several choices of juice. If you can't find enough that you like in that, than really you need to re-evaluate why you would stay in a bed and breakfast to begin with.

I would say the trip to Ommegang was the trip of a lifetime, but as we intend to come back again and again, that's really not true. The food was 5-star, the service was 5-star, the complimentary gifts were 5-star and when you put everything together, for this thrifty mom, you really do get your money's worth.

Thank you Marc & Sherrie and please thank your staff for us for the wonderful job they did to make this getaway one to remember!
