Great place, can't wait to go back this summer. Backyard is awesome with a creek running through it. Delicious breakfast and nice rooms. Our kids loved the creek and it's great for adults also who just want to sit and relax.

A gem on the outskirts of Cooperstown. Wonderful gardens in the backyard with a creek running thought it. A very filling full breakfast and the rooms are clean and very comfortable. Thanks Joe and Glynis for a great stay.

We recently stayed 2 nights & were very satisfied. When making our reservation I explained to Joe we would be traveling with my soon to be 80 year old mother. He placed us in the perfect room with easy access into the Inn & dining room. The room was clean & comfortable. He provided an extra heater for her, just in case which was very thoughtful. The weather was cold & rainy so we did not get to go sit outside but enjoyed the lovely garden view from the dining/living area. Breakfast was great, eggs cooked to order, waffles, fruit, bagels, yogurt & cereal. If you leave hungry it's your own damn fault. This was a great B&B expereince for the price. I have read some negative reviews & my response to them is go stay in a predictable, chain motel & you'll get the predictable white bread expereince. I prefer to have unique experiences & get to meet the locals. We did not mind the beautiful 9.5 mile drive to Cooperstown - everything but resteraunts shut down there after 6:00 after Labor Day anyway so staying in town would be sort of boring. Joe & his son Rui were the perfect hosts - we did not need a lot of hand holding or attention but Joe did provide some good recommendations for dining when we asked & had copies of menus available for review in the lobby. This is an old building with lots of charm - it seemed to be perfect for a family traveling who may want to prepare meals (our room had a perfectly clean kitchenette). No it's not walking distance to the NBHOF but it does not advertise that it is. It is not a brand new shiny Best Western or other no character big box hotel chain. It may not be perefct for all travelers but it was for us.

Room Tip: Room #4 has easy access.

Once again this year we packed up the family and went up to The Hayden Creek in on Rt. 80 just a few miles outside the center Cooperstown, NY. I love this place. This is our 5th year going there. The Inn owners Joe, Glynis and their son Rui welcome families and couples and baseball teams. The rooms are cozy and inviting as if you are staying in their own home. The sun room welcomes you every morning to a extensive continental breakfast with waffles, bagels, fresh fruit and hot coffee and many other yummy treats. There is a sitting area where you can read a book and a place to kick up your feet and relax, while you look out to the back yard listening to the quiet ripple of the creek passing by. If you have children don't forget to bring your water shoes because they will want to just play out back in the creek all day. Outside there is a covered gazebo and bar-b-q, and a fire pit for night time campfires and marshmallow roasting. The inn is close to all attractions, The Baseball Hall of Fame, Glimmer Glass Opera, Farmers Museum and the Fenimore Museum. Definitely worth the trip.

Room Tip: For larger groups ask for the room with the kitchenette :)

We stayed here for two nights in August and couldn't have been happier. The breakfast was very filling and plenty of different things to choose from. Couldn't say enough about the backyard. The gardens are beautiful and the creek is priceless. We're already making plans to return next year. Thanks Joe for all your help.

Where to begin? The breakfast was the best! Eggs, bacon and waffles, what else do you need? rooms were clean and very roomy. Beautiful backyard with a creek running through it, great gardens and an amazing covered patio for hanging out and barbecuing. Would definitely recommend this Inn for a short stay or several days. It's a few miles away from town which I like because it was nice and quiet but easy to go to town for dinner if needed.
