This is our go-to place for the best food. It is authentic Italian...wonderful specials, bread to die for, portions which allow for take home bags so we get to enjoy it all at home the next day. The service has always been terrific.
The only downside is the close proximity of the tables...tables form6 are great, with room, but the cozier tables are Too cozy....too close together...wish they had booths!!

Very good food and large number of choices on daily specials. The waitress did not disclose the price when she went over the specials. We had to ask and the ones we asked about ranged from $20 to $30. Our waitress was efficient and business like not real warm and personable, but she was efficient. We have been here before and for sure will go again as the food quality has always been excellent. The owner visited our table a couple of times to see how things were going. We left a message on answering machine for reservation as they did not open until 4:00 p.m. We were to receive a confirmation call back and did not receive so we had to make a follow-up call and the person apologized for not calling us.

Dined with friends on recommendation of B&B innkeeper who dines there regularly. On a Friday night we had veal parmigiana, rack of lamb, and spaghetti with meatballs. Nice Caesar salads also. Very reasonably priced.

The food is very good, authentic Italian. Our waitress was inexperienced(couldn't recommend a wine pairing) but relatively attentive. It's all about the food at this restaurant. The dining room is a tad crowded and a little noisy; ambiance just OK. Go for the food and the wine. Overall good value. I'll go back.

Tony is by far the best chef in Cooperstown. I'm not sure which server Tony T thought "reeked of cigarettes." I have never had that experience.

I have been to Toscana many times, and have never had a bad meal. The eggplant parmigiana is superb, as is the haddock, the salmon, the seared tuna, the scampi—you're getting the idea. I love this place. Also, Tony is very accommodating. If you ask to have less pasta, you get less pasta; if you ask for him to hold the garlic, he does; if you know ahead of time that you'd like risotto (not on the menu), call—he'll probably make it especially for you.

Toscana doesn't look like much from the outside, but go in and find out. My only very small caveat (not enough to knock it down to four stars) is that the wine list could be better, especially the by-the-glass wines. Please, Tony, offer a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc by the glass. People will order it.

Toscana is a stone's throw from the Hall of Fame. It's open only for dinner after the summer season, but seven days a week, and until 9—not too many places in Cooperstown where you can get a meal that late.

Popped in here while visiting the Hall of Fame over the summer. The restaurant is beautiful inside and has an outstanding ambiance. However, it took forever to get a table (it was busy) and service was lackluster at best. The food was good but was pretty simple and didn't equate to the substantial price tag. I would definitely try it again but wouldn't deal with a wait next time around.
