“A Big Hit in Cooperstown”
Reviewed September 7, 2013

Visiting Cooperstown over the Labor Day weekend, we expected to pay too much for mediocre food. Fortunately, the host at our B&B suggested Toscana and we were delighted that she did. The food was very good, the prices were surprisingly modest, and the service was exceptional. Moreover, the restaurant could not be more convenient for Hall of Fame visitors -- it is located directly across the street -- so visitors can duck out of the Hall of Fame and grab a very good meal and then quickly get back to the business of immersing themselves in baseball lore. We liked our dinner there so much that we went back for lunch on the following day just before leaving Cooperstown.

“Lovely place steps from hall of fame”
Reviewed September 2, 2013 via mobile

We travelled to Cooperstown at the end of August, which apparently is a somewhat slow travel season. We had our choice if any restaurant given sparse crowds and picked this one. We were not disappointed. Good pasta, great bread snd nice wines by the glass. Service was friendly and plenty attentive for our taste. We'd go back in a heartbeat.

“Good Italian Food”
Reviewed September 1, 2013

I was told the food was good here but service very slow. Stopped in one rainy night without a reservation and was immediately seated. Restaurant has a NYC vibe to it especially with the tables so close to each other. We were actually served very fast and was surprised the waiter did not suggest dessert (we did not want one, but surprised we were not offered) We were in and out in under 45 minutes. Food was good but prices seemed overpriced on the pasta dishes. Nice departure from the sandwich and burger fares offered by most of the eateries along Main St. Happy that I did not experience slow service that my friends did during lunch.

“Could have been better”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

A very popular, fairly new restaurant. I'm of Italian descent, and they just miss the mark with their food. I think that they are trying to be 'updated' Italian, but we didn't enjoy it. Wheat bread on the table, spaghetti and meatballs was with a pink (vodka?) sauce......but not noted as such on the menu. Meatballs were incredibly heavy. The bolognese was good, not great. Service was only ok. Our waitress never came back to offer grating cheese (which we would have liked). Oddly, our drinks were served in plastic glasses. We felt like we should have gone to Nicoletta's instead.
