Description: Ommegang is hard to pronounce but easy to find. Located just five miles south of Cooperstown, NY, our farmstead brewery is open year-round for daily tours and tastings. An intimate walking tour puts you right on the brew floor amidst the sights and sounds of brewing in action. Our tour guides will help you discover how superior ingredients and time-honored methods like open fermentation and warm cellaring produce better tasting beer. But don't take our word for it, taste them for yourself. In addition to free tours, inexpensive tastings of six of our award-winning ales are available. Afterwards, stay for a meal at Cafe Ommegang and shop in the brewery store. Ommegang has special events all year long, including the "Belgium Comes to Cooperstown" beer festival in August and a summer concert series. Handicapped parking, entry and toilets available. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Years Day, and also for occasional special events. Closures are listed on website.

“Wish we had had more time.”

We were on our way back to Oneonta after visiting Cooperstown and were delighted to have lunch at the brewery. It is a very popular spot.

We were limited on time so we were unable to take the brewery tour which looked like it would be highly entertaining. We also were not able to eat in the restaurant, but we were able to have lunch out on the patio behind the restaurant and store.

The food was excellent and the setting was delightful.

We will definitely stop by this brewery again, if we have the opportunity of visiting Cooperstown in the near future.

“Skip the tour - head straight to the bar!”
Reviewed August 6, 2014

Tour was disappointing; don't really see much of plant and its loud. Beer tasting was the best; you get to try 5 or 6 of their brews and can purchase them right there to take home.

“Went for a concert stayed for the beer”
Reviewed August 5, 2014 via mobile

This was my first time visiting the brewery after hearing about it from a friend. We camped out on the grounds for a concert and it was a great experience. All of the staff was great, friendly and very helpful. Their beer was being severed at $5 a cup which I thought was reasonable. They also had great food choices throughout the venue, including their own restaurants food tent. Can't wait to get back and visit again.

“Dont forget closed toed shoes”
Reviewed August 4, 2014

If you come for the tour and you have open toed shoes they'll make you wear crocs that hundreds of other people have had their feet in. Tour was interesting. The tasting is $3/ person you sample 6 beers that are brewed there with ever increasing alcohol content. I tapped out on the fifth one. Hennequin was my fav although i prefer lager.
