Pleased with the room...comfortable and modern. Although along the road it was a quiet, secluded location. A short walk up a hill from the docks at the lake. Very good service at the front desk. Well run inn.

Cassie and Jason are outstanding and wonderful to have at the front desk. Extremely friendly and make you feel like you are home. We choose to stay in the smaller of the cabins which was perfect for a quick 3 night getaway with three adults. The cabin was clean and smelled great. There is a small porch with four chairs and a small grill out front which was great for our burgers and steaks. Inside we had a microwave and mini fridge which fits a 30 pack of cans well and still have room. There is a small beach and fire pit down by the water with some sitting chairs. You can borrow their kayaks or canoe and front desk will give you the life vests and paddles. Its a small piece of prosperity with cabins and a small Inn on it sprinkled with tall pines. The grounds are kept up well. Inside the lobby they have coffee or tea for free and a sitting area with games that you can borrow or sit and play. They also have a small workout center and an arcade for children or the child in you. We went for the Harvest Fest in Sharon Springs which wasn't that far away and loved that we came after season. We loved this place so much that we are planning our return trip back, but gonna try the bigger cabins which Cassie, she such a darling, let us look inside so we could figure out for next time which ones we need. There's a huge ice machine on property. Also a gazebo on the grass and one near the beach. Each cabin has their own picnic table and one up but the Inn for the guest. This place everything that we needed!! I have traveled a bit and Cassie is a blessing of hospitality and I hope the owners know how special she and Jason are to have working for them. I can NOT wait to GO back!!! My only recommendation would be to have wooden tv trays in the bigger cabins and maybe one in the small ones just to give extra table space.

Room Tip: Choose a cabin for more privacy

I have to admit when we drove up to this facility, I was afraid this rustic out-of-the-way motel might not be too pleasant (like a few we’ve encountered). But we had nothing to fear. Bayside Inn is immaculately kept up, and our room, no. 8, was spacious and gleaming. It had clearly been updated recently. The shower was the best on our trip.
Our room had a nice private balcony overlooking the cottages and lake, also a fridge and microwave. The extra bed did make it a little crowded on the wall side of ours, but it was very comfortable.
It would have been nice if they served breakfast, but the owners were very helpful with suggestions on places in Cooperstown, and we found them to be right on the money. All in all, a great choice for a place to stay.

The room was very clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. It is a great location - close to both Glimmerglass and Cooperstown. The view of the lake was beautiful and it was a short walk down to the water. Several buildings on the grounds including cottages, which would be great for longer stays.

Cancelled our reservation at a major national chain when Bayside showed up on internet.and we checked it out on Tripadvisor. Great decision! Clean, quiet, very comfortable and located a few miles out of Cooperstown on Otsego Lake. Room had coffee, micro wave, refrig, great shower. No restaurant nearby but easy drive into town. Cabins available but we did not see inside one. If as nice as motel room they would be family choice. Enjoy.

Room Tip: Ask for room on lake side of building if available.
