We stopped in on the recommendation of a Cooperstown resident. We were welcomed and seated by Joe, who appeared to be the manager (or possibly the owner). Although we were only ordering dessert, everyone on the staff made us feel not just welcomed, but as if we were long-time regulars. Our home-made desserts were excellent, as was the coffee, freshly brewed by the cup. The dinners being served to neighboring tables were beautifully presented and looked and smelled delicious. We asked Joe if we could purchase a drinking glass from the bar -- to use that evening in our motel room. Not only did he comp the glass, he took special care to find us one that wasn't scratched up from long use. We were already planning to return to Cooperstown to take in another museum. Now we know just where we will go for dinner, and we know the service and the quality of the food will be top-notch.
