I found this museum on tripadvisor when sewers planning a day in Cooperstown and I was worried about my daughter's ability to handle all baseball all day. It turned out that all of us had a great time. The people reenacting the various trades were so friendly and informative. If you have small children make note of the times for feeding the baby animals; we have been to a million petting zoos but nowhere else have my kids bottle-fed goats and calves. We bought the ticket that included the awe all ball of fame, this museum and the art museum. Great bargain and a great way to fill a day.

If you are not familiar with farming this might interest you. If like me, you grew up being around farming, you won't see much new here.

The print shop and weaving loom were interesting.

This was a great way to spend a few hours. Easy, family friendly and a great way to put in a little history plus a fun. The Cardiff Giant was a huge hit because we love that stuff. It was hot and sticky the day we went so bug spray is a good idea along with sun screen. You are outdoors.

We have been to Cooperstown several times so on this trip, half my family went to the Baseball Hall of Fame and the other half went to Farmer's Museum. What a wonderful surprise. My teenager enjoyed it and there seemed to be a lot of interactive activities for younger children. We were able to spend a lot of time in the Print Shop and with the Blacksmith. We even got a private tour of the beautiful Carousel. Nice display of pick up trucks as well for car and history buffs. Sorry we did not visit sooner. We were there for about 3 hours but could have stayed longer. Staff dressed in period garb and were very responsive to all questions. Highly recommend for all age groups. Received a AAA discount as well which was $1 off the adult ticket. Combination tickets also available with the other area museums including Baseball Hall of Fame.

A step back to the mid 1800's. Everyone there very friendly. Great for the kids. Spent about half a day there. Recommended.
