“a trip back in time”
Reviewed October 23, 2012

This reconstructed mid-19th century village shows life as it was then. The buildings have been moved from other sites and laid out as a village might have looked. Recently added is a merry-go-round featuring famous people and places of NY State.

“Do not miss this !”
Reviewed October 22, 2012

A nice side trip if attending a performance at the Glimmerglass Opera. Plenty of parking available. The docents are well versed in farm life in the early years. A great stop for children as there are many farm animals and birds.

“Great family experience”
Reviewed October 14, 2012

This is a great place to bring the kids! It is like Sturbridge or Williamsburg. It is spread out with different buildings and guides dressed in period outfits. They are friendly and love to describe their work. A great carousel! Beautiful! Fun animals on site.

“Historic and interesting”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

You know you are in Cooperstown for the Hall of Fame, but this is another great place to unwind and take the kids. See history and learn in a pretty free atmosphere after the kids have had an indoor day.

“It's an okay visit if you have extra time”
Reviewed October 5, 2012

I checked this out because I got the combination ticket, which got me in here, the Fenimore Museum and the Baseball HOF. This is a scaled down version of Colonial Williamsburg or Sturbridge Village. Not great, but still pretty good. The people there are all very nice.
