We frequent stay in this hotel yearly since 2007, the beach view and garden view is usually our pick, but when we came this may its a shock, we checked in weekday at 10pm i asked the front desk if they could give us a time to enjoy the beach a late checked out but they denied us, ok fine my kids and i got the garden view when we entered the room it smelled mold the aircon isnt clean when i checked the cabinet saw the corner moldy wet area as if a water has been stagnant for weeks i then asked to be transfered to the new bldg, ro0m is ok it smelled ok, the breakfast buffet at the reef was chaotic, literally you would be swandering with some fly. Felt so sad how our fav. Place degraded, t

We booked two rooms in Camayan Beach Resort. I can tell a lot of improvements since the last time I was here.

Pros:
- clean rooms
- beach area is clean (first visit, it was full of rubbish)
- friendly staffs
- beach toys for kids are available, reasonable price

Cons:
- defective miniref
- flies in dining area (hope the management can do something about this).

Tips:
- Don't feed the monkeys.
- Don't leave your valuables outside your room. Monkeys run really fast. =)

A good place to stay just 3 hours outside Metro Manila. They provide 20% entrance discount to Ocean Adventure which is just a carpark away from the resort.

Our room has 2 queen-sized beds but TV was a bit old. The have a minibar where you can store your food and refreshments. They have hot and cold shower and a bath tub.

For an overnight stay, they offer free breakfast buffet at their restaurant "The Reef". Their food is good. They have music bands that perform at night for entertainment. They have a gaming area near The Reef where you can play billiards and foosball (table football).

The beach offered clear calm waters in the morning and we really had a very relaxing swim, setting the Bataan and Zambales mountains as the perfect backdrop.

Be warned though, monkeys live within the area since the resort is situated near the rainforest. Every morning, these monkeys would visit the resort in groups to ransack any available food they find unattended in the verandas. Keep away from these animals as they are so used to human presence, but they're still wild and may attack when provoked. Do not feed the monkeys.

Overall, we had a pretty good stay at the resort. Their staff is accomodating and courteous. Given the chance, I'd probably return for another stay.

I don't know what happened.. This used to be my family's favorite getaway. We checked in this hotel for like 10 times already. They have the best beach -clear, calm waters - simply superb! Well this has not changed. Thank goodness!

The rooms and the service got worse. We would always book rooms in the new building to avoid discomforts due to old units but we were so disappointed this last visit. The aircon was not working well (this is really bad in this hot summer weather), the room was not clean. I can see cob webs and dusts in the ceiling when I lay in bed which made me very uncomfortable. There are stains on the curtains...(sigh!) I got really disappointed. Add to that the broken bathroom fixtures including the tv remote control.

And the breakfast...Oh well... their breakfast never got better. The only good bfast we had in Camayan was on our first visit. That's it; everything just got worse after that.

We stayed at the Camayan Beach Resort and Hotel last April 20-21, 2014. We booked 2 rooms at the new building avoiding the beachfront building because of previous negative reviews. Booking was easy in their website and the reservations personnel responded quickly to my initial queries about rates and availability.

The rooms and veranda were spacious with 2 queen beds though the bathrooms were a bit dated. The accomodation came with buffet breakfast but the food was just so-so. We had dinner in the hotel and the food was just okay, nothing to rave about. We liked the performances along the beach at night which were entertaining while having drinks or pica-pica at the Sand Bar Restaurant. This was a good idea on the part of the hotel management because the area is far from the happenings in Subic and there is not much to do in the hotel at night.

The beach was peaceful and quiet in the early morning with only a handful of the hotel residents swimming and some monkeys swinging on the trees. However, at around 7:30 am, the beach visitors from the outside started arriving in groups with their food and paraphernalia and the beach was not as nice anymore.

This is a nice beach place to go considering the short travel time thru SCTEX and the nice restaurants in Subic where you can have your meals.

Room Tip: Get rooms in the newer building.

We stayed here because it is located next to the Ocean Adventure, then we were given 20% discount for the entrance fee in Ocean Adventure we were happy about that. As for the price of their room I think it quite fits the room quality it wasn't bad... their bathrooms have bath tubs and hot water which my kids loved, the room service is okay a little too slow sometimes, the minibar was almost broken needs replacing. The beds were comfy, our room location was fine since we asked for ground level room fronting near beach area, was happy about that too. Complimentary breakfast was okay. There was entertainment (live band and magician) during the night, they also have gaming area that me and my husband get to enjoyed for a bit (we played foosball). And finally the beach was okay, water is clear, it is no boracay or galera but good enough for a 3 hour drive, my only complain is for the people who uses the beach I saw garbage everywhere, maybe if the management could put up trash bins it could be prevented, anyway to sum up, hotel is good for a family getaway we enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: deluxe rooms third building fronting beach area for a convinient location to the resort facilities

This hotel has trust issues with its guest. First thet ask you for a 1000 peso security deposit, CASH! Staple it in the form and you can refund upon check out. Who does this obviously insulting gesture?
Second they have a checklist for every item in the room, towels and all. Third, they remind you by phone and letter that check out is at 12nn.

To the hotel management, I dont think any of your guest will steal your old stinky towels, or destroy your already worn out furniture and TV.

Aircon is busted, tea is not existent, bottled water is 2 but you paid for 4. Reception is hesitant to give you water. Breakfast is terrible, food is bland and the flies will make you loose your appetite.
