Lovely inn. Very charming. Friendly staff. Tranquility room was comfortable and cozy. Made a point to use the bath. The inn is quiet and conveniently located near shops and restaurants. It's a beautiful little downtown area. Close to hiking and other outdoor activities. Will be back soon.

Clean, professionally run B&B. Perfect location in the heart of Cold Spring. Extraordinarily helpful staff. I would definitely stay there again, and have recommended it to my friends and family in NYC

The Pig Hill Inn is a charming B&B in a wonderful little town on the Hudson. The rooms are charming and the breakfasts are terrific So it the afternoon pie. The staff (Vera) is super friendly and helpful. Also, it's a good value in a limited-option location.

We were here again this year. This time we rented 3 rooms for different family members.

Vera (owner) and Dave (manager/chef) as well as the staff all were wonderful to us and our family members. They did all sorts of special things to make our stay better:
* set up some tables with tablecloths for us to picnic on the patio
* prepared special breakfast to go for people when they checked out early to catch a train before normal breakfast hours
* moved vehicles so that we could park in their small lot

Room #6 on the top floor is quite large and has a very modern bathroom (with Jacuzzi bath/shower). There is no overhead light in the room, there are several lamps set up next to each chair and by the bed. The mattress is probably close to end of life -- getting a bit soft in spots.

The rooms were all clean and everything worked properly. Breakfast was plentiful and coffee was very good.

We'll be back next year.

Visiting the beautiful Hudson Valley/Cold Spring New York area from Portland, Maine.
Decided to get more info and check availability at this adorable looking B & B. A friendly gardener was weeding in the small front yard of this historic, ivy clinging facade.
Tried opening the door, but it was locked. Just as I was about to walk back down the stairs, a dark haired, bearded man opened the door, walked back inside as the door started to close on me, and then asked in a surly demeanor: "Can I help you." Confused by all the pocketbooks hanging on the walls, the jewelry, and other gift-y things, I said:"Oh I thought this was the B & B.". Just then I noticed guests sitting in chairs in the next room. This grump just stood there--totally imposed upon by my query. I said: " With your disposition, no thank you " and I walked out.
Try visiting the Pomegranate Inn, The West End Inn, or The Danforth Inn-- all in Portland, Maine-- and you'll learn a thing or two about hospitality and first impressions!!

My husband and I have stayed at the Pig Hill Inn on four different occasions now and each time we have enjoyed our stay immensely. Our favorite room is Victorian Elegance - claw foot tubs get me every time! The Inn is quiet and cute and very clean. The staff who manage the inn are very friendly and helpful. There are restaurants nearby and the town of Cold Spring is very cute. Long walks are my favorite thing to do when visiting.

Breakfast in the sun room is always a treat! I have allergies and the staff go out of their way to make sure I have enough to eat and the food is very good. There are hot beverages and snacks available all day and the fresh baked pie waiting for you when you come back in the evening is always delicious! When we go out for dinner we pass on dessert at restaurants knowing we can enjoy a homemade pie at the inn.

I recommend the Pig Hill Inn to friends all the time as it is really easy to get to from Manhattan even without a car.

Room Tip: Victorian Elegance - the claw foot tub is the best!

When thinking of B&B lodging, this is the epitome. From the nine beautifully designed rooms to an unbelievably comfortable bed to the inviting sitting area, to the garden breakfast room to a scrumptious breakfast, host , Vera, spares no effort in providing perfect hospitality. Owner, Vera, and Dave, who welcomed us, were accommodating in providing local information and directions to nearby Bear Mountain State Park. Vera's 15 years of experience has achieved her goal of offering a European-style B&B. When visiting Cold Spring, New York or any where near along the Hudson River, this is the place to lodge.

Room Tip: Nine choices pictures on the web sitw.
