We stayed at the Inn for 2 nights in August. The location is wonderful. Central to many of the sights in the Hudson Valley. The town is lovely - with a beautiful view of the river. The Inn was okay, but not what we had hoped. The common area is very dark and not particularly welcoming. The check in procedure is somewhat strange - you enter the in through a retail shop. We had a little rain while we were there and it would have been nice to be able to sit and read somewhere other than our room. The room was fine - but not memorable. Breakfast was ok, but again not anything special. Weak coffee!!

This was the most sensational location; just a couple minutes walk from the train station and right in the middle of downtown. The rules clearly state that there is a hefty fine for anyone caught smoking in the rooms, so that was a big relief due to our smoke allergies.

Dave was managing the inn during our stay and what a fantastic host he was! We had a night working schedule at the time and he went EXCEEDINGLY far out of his way to make sure we were able to wake up and eat when it was the most convenient for us.

We absolutely plan on returning.

Room Tip: The Tranquility room was extremely luxurious and romantic. The bathroom and spa were private (attach...

For the second year in a row, my husband and I opted to stay overnight at the Pig Hill Inn when we attended the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival at Boscobel Restoration. For the second year in a row, we were met with the comfort and joy of relaxation and much-needed pampering.

Although we were checked in rather hurriedly by Vera, we didn't mind the rush, because it meant to got to relax in our cozy, beautiful room ("Victorian Elegance") a little faster. I'd requested sparkling wine to be waiting in our room upon check-in, and it was (along with some Hershey's kisses and a sweet, small vase of flowers). We celebrated our night away from our two kids (ages five and two) by drinking the delicious wine, then headed out to Cathryn's Tuscan Grill, just up the street, for an amazing dinner.

When we returned from Romeo and Juliet at the end of the night, there was chocolate cake available for the taking, along with hot tea, but we were too tired and full from the rest of the night to partake. I can only imagine the cake was as delicious as the homemade, wholly satisfying breakfast we were served in our room the following morning.

Hot coffee. Orange juice. Muffins and popovers. Scrambled eggs. French Toast. Three kinds of pork (ham, sausage, and bacon). Fruit Salad. Seriously: this was one of the most satisfying and delicious (albeit simple) breakfasts I've eaten in eons. Well, well worth the price of admission, folks.

We left Cold Spring feeling like royalty, and are already itching to go back.

If you want an amazing b&b experience, head to the Pig Hill Inn!

The location of the Pig Hill Inn was great. Went there for 2 nights over an April weekend with my boyfriend. The front desk's attitude left something to be desired, but the breakfasts were large and tasty. They cook to order and you can have breakfast in your room or downstairs. There is coffee, water and a snack available and out for guests all day and night.

As far as I could see, it was the only bed and breakfast on Main St and in the area. The town is great and it's a wonderful weekend escape. Great french restaurant right across the street and the waterfront is a 3-minute walk.

The rooms were nice, not perfectly clean but definitely tended after. Some of the rooms had jacuzzis in the room and that's the room we would use if we came back.

A little expensive but worth the great getaway!

I can't say enough about this place. They are the consumate hosts, the room was really cozy and romantic, and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with a choice of eating in the glass sunroom or outside. The staff is absolutely wonderful as was the owner. Highly reccomended.

Room Tip: Each room has a theme, We chose Ivy, but I looked in on some of the others and they are all pleasant...

We just returned from three lovely nights at the Pig Hill Inn and look forward to returning. The many positive reviews accurately describe the beauty and comforts of the rooms and furnishings, the accommodating service, and the excellent breakfasts and afternoon snacks. I appreciated that they were able to take into account of my vegan diet at breakfast.

Room Tip: Check the website: Most rooms have an en suite private bath, but two rooms have private baths off...

My wedding was on May 12, 2012 in Garrison, NY, and my now-husband and I, along with most of our wedding party, took over the Pig Hill Inn for the weekend. I could not have been any happier with the property or with the service we received. All of the rooms were comfortable and unique, and the common areas were lovely. Best of all, the breakfast was out of this world! Freshly baked muffins and scones, delicious eggs made to order, sausage, bacon - the works. We also loved the fresh cake that the inn put out in the afternoons and the tea that was always ready. The innkeepers and staff were very sweet and unobtrusive, but always there when we needed anything. A wonderful place to stay!

Room Tip: We had family / wedding party members staying in every room in the inn, so we got to see them all...
