The Cold Springs Depot has been around for a long time and the The attraction can only be its location in Cold Springs. After walking along the streets during a hot summer day, it's a shaded oasis at the end of town before the train station. Sitting outdoors under the umbrellas is comfortable and the Metro North trains roar by pretty often. The menu is varied but it's basically includes sandwiches and burgers. The beer is cold and the service is friendly. My complaint is the wait for food to be served. Our table of four waited at least 20-25 minutes after ordering and the restaurant was not busy. The kitchen can't seem to get the food orders out faster. Overall, the prices are moderate and I noticed the waiters seem to have to run around a lot. There are a number of nicer places to eat in Cold Springs, but if you want an outdoor spot during a hot day, this is the place to eat.
