Early on, living in the area, folks whispered about an incredible garden hidden in the woods near Fahnestock. What a surprise when they started opening to the public. We were all in awe. Its about 12 precious acres with many "rooms" and paths. A great place to spend a relaxing day. But its also a place for serious gardeners to learn about species that work is this local climate. Its now open on a regular basis for a very small fee. But do check ahead before heading out to it.
i think the biggest lesson is how lovely a woodland can be, where deer are excluded.
