I would call the Hudson House the Motel 6 of B&Bs. The rooms are tiny and devoid of any cuteness or luxury. All the furniture was beat up, no towel racks in the bathroom, small bed, cheapo stenciling on the walls, ghetto-lookin lamps, etc. The staff, although sweet and local-ish, were very slow and generally unattentive. But the breakfast was good though and the rooms were very quiet.
Luckily the Hudson House didn't ruin our trip because Cold Spring is such a wonderful little village, and so close to Manhattan. But I think next time I'll try a different B&B.
