“Kitschy cool!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 3, 2014

This roadside attraction was lots of fun. My wife and I as well as our adult children had a ball. Much better than nearby Howe Caverns which is kind of a tourist trap, Secret Cavern is small and amazing. The tour and visit to the museum and gift shop can be done in under two hours. The guides are friendly and fun and you'll have a great time. The stairs are a bit of a climb on the way back up so if you are out of shape, just take it slow.

“Awesome!!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 24, 2013 via mobile

Small place. You can pop by here and be done in an hour. Makes a good stop for a road trip.

The cave itself is well a cave. So if you find this stuff interesting you will love it. The waterfall is amazing! It descends from a swamp somewhere above ground, and it is just amazing to think someone discovered this natural beauty.

There were 4 of us on the tour, so in the way back we got to navigate the route back to the surface in complete darkness! What an experience.

“The "Real" Caverns”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 14, 2013

The reason for the "Real" in the title is that Howe Caverns is more of a tourist attraction in that there is an elevator, restaurant, and underground sidewalks.

The Secret Caverns is far more of a rustic adventure.
There's a long staircase to get you down there and, once underground, there are spots that are in no way for the claustrophobic or otherwise feint of heart.

There's one difference. Howe gives you a lovely underground boat ride, and Secret Caverns gives you a 100' high underground "waterfall".

I like them both.
If I'm visiting with older people or those with a fear of tight spaces, Howe is the place to go.

For everybody else, I like the Secret Caverns.

Ended up here on a whim. Staff was very friendly. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny. Overall a great time, those stairs are a killer though!

“Its ok if it is on your way”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 2, 2013

Exploring the cave was a good experience ,but don't drive all the way to see this, stop by if its in your way on a route to your major destination,I expected a good gift shop but it was not so good.
I was not crazy about the colored lights inside the cave because it took away the originality from the attraction .
