Little restaurant situated along a pretty main street of a small Finger Lakes town. It was very quiet when we first arrived - only two other tables - but as the night progressed, got respectably busy. Our server was very good- answered some questions on the differing cuts of steak on the menu really well, and had good knowledge of the food. Every course had a nice touch - calamari with peppers was crunchy and spicy hot; salad with poached egg blended perfectly with the smoke and sweet of bacon, striped bass was paired with pecan risotto, fried in an arancini. Every selection was really unique.
Dessert was a creative flavor mix with sweet blackberry, mint and crunchy jicama with a smooth ricotta cheesecake. One of the top ten desserts of my life. Good !
So fancy, innovative, and fun menu. $175 for our party of four , with 2 apps, 2 glasses of wine, and a dessert. Pricey? A little, would I go back, absolutely.

We hadn't been to Warfields in over a year, but the restaurant remains one of our favorites when we are in the area. We had made reservations, but wouldn't have needed them, Even though it was a Saturday night, there were very few tables occupied. Our friendly server was very attentive and well trained. Our first bottle of wine was out of stock, but they immedialtely came with 3 others to substitute for it, and we were satisfied with their choice. 3 of us ordered the Seafood Bisque and it was very unique. The bowl came with a "meatball" of lobster and shrimp, and had 4 small shrimp surrounding... then the waitress poured over the broth. Unusual and tastey. The Ceasar was long romain leaves with dressing and a large square crouton with cheese filling and a parmasan crisp.
The 2 tuna dinners were done to perfection and the lamb rack was perfect, although the potato squares were rather flavor=less.
Desserts were big enough to share and the best was the delicious dark chocolate caramels with Hawaiin Sea Salt that we all recieved with the bill. I hope the lack of diners won't be a problem for this wonderful out of the way gem.

One of our favorite places to eat in the Finger Lakes.
Beautifuly restored building and beautiful food!! Plus it's quiet, you can talk while enjoying one of the best meals in Ontario County. Great Service too.

There were seven of us who meet annually at different restaurants for an end of Winter celebration. We have been to numerous wonderful restaurants around the Rochester to Wayne County area. This has been, by far, the best. In fact, I would say it was the best food I've had in 20 years.

I love duck but it has been a disappointing meal at most restaurants that serve it; tough and stringy with little meat. The duck at Warfield's was plump, juicy and tender with delicate orange flavor that complimented the natural gaminess of the bird. The accompanying green beans were sauteed to perfection, crisp but not raw. The sorbet sampler dessert was sublime with subtle, original and unusual flavors.

The presentation of each course was pure artistry on a plate. The pork chops of a friend's meal ere nestled into a perfect semicircle of risotto supplemented with accents of greens.

For being out in the middle of nowhere, the Warfield was bustling with happy, gregarious people. I saw three dinning rooms on the ground floor with a large pub-like bar in the rear of the building. The manager gave us a tour of the second floor events rooms where there is a fireplace (somewhat non-descript) and an absolutely gorgeous pub bar brought over from England.

There is no question that I will return to this great eatery and the old health spa town and its sulfur springs.
