“Southern hospitality in the Adirondacks”
Reviewed July 21, 2012

Just the perfect place to get-a-way and enjoy the mountains, fresh air, and beautiful scenery. Have a great time around the campfire, telling stories and enjoy good fellowship with a good cup of coffee or your favorite beverage. Then retire to a cozy cabin with all the comforts of mountain living. The host are extremely friendly people that bend over backward to make your visit as pleasant as possible. Enjoy a hike on the wooded trails after breakfast, then maybe a little fishing in Lake Champlain in the afternoon. Very accessable, just off the Highway, you can't miss it as you go past. Enjoy what nature has to offer, up close and personal, we did.

Gracious hosts, cozy cabin, screened porch, incredibly plush towels. Hummingbirds and songbirds, friendly cat. Fire pit, a great swingset sturdy enough for adults. The cabins are exactly as pictured, although they're not so much "nestled in the woods" as placed on the edge. Cabins are offset so that even though they're close, in the style of a tourist camp from another time, you don't feel you're on top of your neighbors.
If I lived in this area, every time I drove past these cabins I'd think "What a cute place--I want to stay there!"
Definitely recommend it, would stay there again.

Planned a long weekend in the Adirondack Mts. with my father.Went on the Adirondack Chamber of commerce web site found this cute picture of a cabin rental. called and talke to Meg Trudeau about the place. I rented the cabin even before I knew where Clemmons NY was.

Dick and Meg own 5 cabins that they rent out that is close to Lake Champlain southern end. On the New York Vermont Boarder Close to Rutland VT. and Schroon Lake, NY, Ticonderga, NY, Located in the Adirondack Park.

Is it a luxury hotel, No. Comfortable? Yes. Clean? Oh yes. Family orientated? Yes, small playground.
the Trudeaus thought of safety when they bought space heaters for the cabins. The heaters are cool to the touch and will not burn little fingers.
A/C in each cabin with a microwave and a small fridge, coffemaker. They even had a packet of coffee - 12 cups! tea, and instant oatmeal, Small containers of cereal were there but no milk.

Shower stall was new and very clean with hot /coldwell water.

there were many little touches that made it a very nice night.

Meg and Dick are very friendly and will make you feel at home.
They have put in a few RV sites and are planning on making the cabins winterized for snomobilers. They are on one of the trails.

When we arrived there was a large group with 3 boats for fishing there. I wish there had been a view of the lake but the trees were great.

Dad and I wished later we had planned more time there.

  • Liked — rustic, simple cute
  • Disliked — just 2 bed rooms and a bathroom. no sitting room. But great porch
