For our wedding anniversary my husband took us to upstate New York in the Lake George area. See my review of the Sagamore Resort where we stayed. they also have a very nice resturant but for the evening of our anniversary we choose to take a little drive out to a nearby Inn for dinner. My husband must have let them know it was our anniversary because they were prepared for us! There was a very nice greeting card signed by all the staff waiting for us at the table in addition to the custom printed menus with a greeting to us printed at the top. Every one stopped by to congratulate us and even the dessert was sent out with the greeting printed in chocolate on the rim of the plate. All that aside, the food was fabulous. Perfectly prepared and grandly presented. We had the fish dish of the day and a pork selection both so wonderful we ended up sharing. They are famous for their wine celler and even produced a bottle of our favorite champgne which is not easy to find. For dessert we had Bananas Foster flamed at the table. It was not just a good show, it was wonderful. If you are in the area of Lake George, you must try this resturant. It is not cheap, but worth every penny and a very classy place for special occasions.

We stayed at the inn and enjoyed several outstanding meals served by wonderful professionals. We have come here quite a bit over the last 8 years. It has always been wonderful. Love waiting in the bar. Everyone, bartenders included is so friendly. The is summer I was introducted to the Friends Lake Cosmo. A Cosmopolitian with St. Germain (Elderberry) coridal. It was a wonderful summer drink.

Over-priced food, ingratiating, condescending service. We don't mind paying the price, if the food and service are worth it. This place is NOT. Both my husband's and my steak were so full of grizzle, we could barely eat it. Oh, and if you wanted a tasty morsel of a side dish with the steak (otherwise solo on the plate), they were $4 each. Not worth what they are asking.

Ate at the restuarant for our wedding ceremony---fabulous gourmet meal, great wine list and great service! Incredible menu with something for everyone and then some. Also ate in the bistro (open later and no reservations needed) and again another great meal though menu smaller.

We celebrated a family occasion this past weekend with a group of 12 members. The inn was so gracious in providing us our own private dining room. We sampled an assortment of appetizers and entrees and some of the exceptional dishes included the lobster, scallop and corn crepe about which several members of our party raved, elk, duck, a much appreciated and unique vegetarian entree, and outstanding desserts including a rich peanut butter mousse and a rich chocolate sensation. The artisan cheese platter had some unique and wonderful offerings. The wine list reads like a holy tome.
