We stopped here on a whim before a HS basketball game intending on a quick bite to eat; soup, salad or the like. It was Monday night or "Polish Night" at the Deer Crossing. The special sounded so inviting the choice was unanimous. Our meal included kielbasa with sauerkraut, stuffed cabbage, Polish meatloaf and pierogies. Everything exceeded our expectations and it was evident all homemade. The pierogies; potato/cheese and mushroom sauerkraut were the best I have had since purchasing at a place on Lexington Avenue in Clifton, NJ...over the top, as was everything else. Our meal also included a soup with sausage and mushrooms in a savory cream base, something neither one of us had ever had but a hit. The rest of the menu was equally inviting and diverse; pastas, chicken, beef, great seafood choices as well. We will be back! As if all this was not enough the staff was friendly, prompt, accommodating and welcoming, with what appeared to be the owners/chefs chatting with diners in the dining room.
