Glenmere is elegance defined. A former home of Gilded Age millionaire, Robert Goelet, Glenmere has been lovingly restored with 18 guest suites to evoke a bygone time. The interiors are stunning and luxurious. Design details abound. The staff are friendly, gracious and helpful. For even the most discerning traveler accustomed to 5-star service and accommodations, Glenmere is a treat!

Room Tip: Look on-line to select the room category most suited to your needs. Rooms vary in size.

We spent several days at Glenmere for a wedding. The service was outstanding.

The mansion is very beautiful and romantic. Our first floor room was magnificently apppointed with enormous arched windows, a flat screen tv, gas fireplace and a great seating area. The pool and jacuzzi were sparkling clean as well and the temperature was perfect.

We had very good food at both Frog’s End Tavern and in The Supper Room. You have to try the foie gras, and the lobster ravioli!

We are not sure what the last reviewer was talking about, as both my husband’s cell phone and mine worked every day no matter where we were on property. They had a charger in our room and we could also make local, state calls from our room. The one time we needed to call internationally, the hotel receptionist immediately placed the call for us.

We will recommend Glenmere to all of our friends without hesitation. This type of elegance and attentive service is exceptional.

Stop. Don’t go here if you intend to use a phone. Though a magnificent place, with no money spared to show its beauty, you are not permitted to make a call to outside the hotel. The owner refuses to give an explanation. Bring your cell phone, but there are few cell towers in the area.

This is my third visit to Glenmere in the last 7 months. I'm addicted to staying there.. Spoiled by them. Enchanted. Glenmere is a very special Relais & Chateaux 19 room property.

Just exquisite, with stellar service. Alan and Dan are extrordinary hosts, and everyone on staff feels more like trusted family retainers than employees - such warm, welcoming, gracious, polished and efficient service in every way.

Intimate, tranquil, sumptuously elegant, adults only romantic getaway, just an easy 90 minute drive from NYC.

Beautiful property with their 150 acres of land, lake, tennis courts, croquet lawn, italianta garden, rose garden, heated swimming pool and jacuzzi and comfortable double chaises to lounge on.

I think Conde Nast Traveleres Gold List will have them ranked 100 out of 100 next year. They are THAT good.

The Spa at Glenmere will probably be open this October - am going to go back in the fall, because if their attention to detail is as meticulous as it is with everything else at Glenmere, it will be divine!

The place is an old Mansion restored with great attention to detail and encompassing all the modern touches that travelers want. the restoration cost is rumored to be $31,000,000. I am in the construction Business and I can believe that number. With only 17 rooms they may be among the most expensive in the Country. Taj just spen $100,000,000 on the Peirre and they have a many times the number of rooms. In the warm wheather you can eat in the courtyard with fountains. the out door furniture is teak and comfortable. You can have drinks on the veranda over looking gardens and the lake. Food is first class and the Bartender Janet is terriffic.
