“Bathroom was filthy”

Checking in was OK, but warned if we smoked in the room a $250.00 charge would apply. I don't think that this room has been properly cleaned in weeks. Hair all over bathroom floor, mold and mildew in shower and toilet dirt. When I told staff about this, they didn't care. Hallways were noisy all night.
The park and fly worked well and shuttle drivers were great. Just a poor hotel, I would never stay here again and I would think twice before you book this place. (a bit of a hole)

The place was great. Nice and clean, good breakfast, good internet access, good service. Nice pool, too! Free popcorn and coffee during the day, made our stay a little more pleasant. Free USA Today in the morning.

The only problem was the door to our room would stick, so we'd have to push hard to get it to open, and by the time it would open, the door lock would re-lock. It took a few tries to get in. But that was probably just our room. Also, the bathroom doors is a sliding wooden door, which can be unlocked from the outside AND inside - it isn't very quiet at night.

Overall: Good stay, aside from the doors (but again, that might just be our room). Recommended. I'd stay there again.

  • Liked — Cleanliness, pool, breakfast, USA Today free, friendly staff.
  • Disliked — The odd doors.

Stay there for a Sleep & Park package for $130.

Location:
It's just across street from the airport. I had a 7am flight and I reserve the shuttle at 6am (against the suggestion of the front desk staff, who asked for 5:30am). The shuttle left hotel at 6:02am and I got to the terminal at 6:05am.

Room:
Typical sleep inn setup, shower only, good water pressure. Small sized bathroom, but good enough for me. The vanity is outside in the room.

Room was clean and updated.

Parking:
Two long term parking lots.
For 7 days or less, park just across street at the long term Parking B lot.

For 7 days or longer (which was my case), it uses a private lot a block down the street. It is lighted but without any attendant. You will have to follow the shuttle driver to the lot then catch a ride back. Not sure other security measures. I am sure I can park my bimmer there but for an old car, sure. In the end, my car was fine there when picking up.

Service:
The Sleep & Park package is not available online at Choice hotels web site. You can get from other site or call the hotel directly.

The night shift front desk clerk was so-so, didn't feel very welcome.

The drivers were courteous and helpful.

Main problem:
When asking for picking up from the airport, I had waited for 15 minutes from the time I called and nobody showed up. When called again, the clerk wasn't very patient, just saying "5 minutes, OK?" The van showed up 5-6 minutes later. Given the close proximity of the hotel, it didn't leave until I called the 2nd time.

We stayed at the Sleep Inn Buffalo Airport for two nights on June 20-21, 2008. We checked in around 7:00 p.m. and it was fast. The girl at the desk was very friendly and helpful.

The room had two double beds and was clean. There was a shower only (which we knew about when we booked the room) and the washroom/shower was separate from the sink/mirror area.

The breakfast buffet was good. You can make your own waffles, but unfortunately, there is only one waffle maker and it takes about two minutes to make one. There were three different sauces - strawberry, blueberry and raspberry and whipped cream for the waffles. There was a line up most times for this. They have a variety of different breads, bagels, and french toast for toasting, along with danishes, four different kinds of cereals, hard boiled eggs, fruit salad, coffee and a variety of tea. It was actually a half decent breakfast for the rate that we paid for the room.

As it was across from the airport, we could hear the planes beginning around 6:00 a.m., but the sound was never bothersome. We didn't hear them at night.

We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

  • Liked — Price, location, breakfast included and it was clean.
  • Disliked — Only one waffle maker and with a teenage son, one waffle is never enough!!

Reception disinterested and cool.
Noisy people running up and down hallway. When advised reception next morning, was advised I should have called reception. So .... if there is noise in the hallway at night call reception and get the problem solved!
Liked the included breakfast - lots of choices.
Price was reasonable.
Pickup on return slow, but it was raining and there was a thunderstorm.

We stayed at the Sleep Inn for its Park and Fly option on April 8. Early flight out at 6:30 am

Hotel: Clean and well-kept. Parking was plentiful and checking in and out was a breeze with friendly staff. They were very busy but took time to answer all questions. Good front desk staff at check in and very efficient.

Room: We had a room with 1 king bed which had an in-room coffee maker and ironing board. The bathroom is very small with only a shower (no bathtub). The sink is outside the bathroom but it is still ok as if someone is using the bathroom, the others can use the sink. The pillows were soft and the bed was quite good.

Park and Fly: You drive your vehicle into to airport parking lot following the shuttle driver. I felt very safe leaving my vehicle here for the week. Shuttle for pick up was fast and timely for take off and return flights.

Breakfast: The breakfast area is very nice. Breakfast runs from 4:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. everyday and was very good. There were different kinds of bagels, danish, french toast, bread, fruits, cereals, hard-boiled eggs, juices, coffee, etc. The best thing is the "make your own waffle" station.

Location: It is next to the Buffalo Airport but you can not hear the planes arriving or departing. Walden Galleria 10 minutes away. Great shopping and restaurants close by.

All in all, it was a very nice stay for Canadians doing the park and fly thing.

The airport area is usually a convenient location for jaunts throughout Buffalo and Western NY. Gave this hotel a try on this trip because they had a jacuzzi suite... not bad, as long as you stay in your room! Good-sized suite with a decent bed and pillows. Very nice jacuzzi. The shower was problematic -- the shower head is on the back wall across from the door, so you have to get IN before you turn the water on! The parking lot had a dumpster smell... but you don't come to this area for the ambience. The breakfast bar was a bit of a mess -- very disorganized and not well-maintained by the mainly teenage staff (why does it seem like every hotel and most restaurants in this area are staffed by teenagers?). The Olympic across Genessee Street is a much better call for breakfast!

  • Liked — location, jacuzzi, waffles at breakfast
  • Disliked — breakfast bar overall, attitude of staff
