“A Modern Trattoria”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 26, 2013

This is a big spiralling traditional Italian family restaurant. It's full of families, couples, couples with teenage children and grandparents.

The food is plentiful - and I mean plentiful. The antipasto for two would likely feed two small countries for a day. The pasta dishes look like platters, you will definitely be taking food home for lunch tomorrow.

The food is stick to your ribs good. Flavours are not understated. Garlic is there but not over powering, sauces are seasoned and fresh tasting and vegetables are crisp and succulent.

Deserts are traditional and like the rest plentiful.

The wine list is small but well chosen to match all dishes. Most are available by the glass.

Service is young, well trained, charming and witty.

The rooms are big, noisy - just like an Italian family.

The prices are more than reasonable.

“Great Brick Oven Pizza”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2013

This was the first time I tried Cosimo's in Woodbury. I had ventured to the area to see my friend's band play at a local winery and was hungry afterwards. I ordered a personal sized margherita pizza with pepperoni and an arugula salad, both of which were delicious. The pizza was juicy, with a well done, crispy crust as I requested, the ambience clean and pleasant, and my waiter was attentive and very personable. I will definitely go back to Cosimo's one day and recommend it highly.

I wish we had pizza of this quality in Sussex County where I live, but nobody in this area knows how to make a great pie. All you get is rubbery, undercooked garbage with generic sauce and cheap cheese. Life is too short to eat lousy pizza!

“Great food, good prices”

The food was really scrumptious and the service was good. It is located right next door to Woodbury Common, so it is very convenient.

“More than just pizza”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 13, 2013

The brick oven pizza is really good. I know, I've had it a few times, and tried various different toppings. They're just more than pizza, though. Their pastas are so perfectly cooked, and the sauces are very tasty. Not too thick, not too thing. All vegetables and meat are precisely cooked - I've had several iterations.

“Beautiful place, delicious food, great after shopping at the Commons”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 11, 2013 via mobile

I stopped in here after shopping at the Commons a few nights ago and was pleasantly surprised by the entire experience. The place is beautiful, very cozy and huge as well. The food was excellent, unlike the usual pizza you get in the USA, this one is very similar to what you see in Europe, thin (and very delicious) crust, smaller size and a very nice sauce as well. For those looking for healthy alternatives they have a whole wheat option as well. For dessert we ordered a canoli, very fresh and very delicious as well, just like the ones you get in little Italy in the city. I would definitely recommended this place to friends and will be back again.
