This is a big spiralling traditional Italian family restaurant. It's full of families, couples, couples with teenage children and grandparents.
The food is plentiful - and I mean plentiful. The antipasto for two would likely feed two small countries for a day. The pasta dishes look like platters, you will definitely be taking food home for lunch tomorrow.
The food is stick to your ribs good. Flavours are not understated. Garlic is there but not over powering, sauces are seasoned and fresh tasting and vegetables are crisp and succulent.
Deserts are traditional and like the rest plentiful.
The wine list is small but well chosen to match all dishes. Most are available by the glass.
Service is young, well trained, charming and witty.
The rooms are big, noisy - just like an Italian family.
The prices are more than reasonable.
