Stefano's is a family-owned and operated restaurant that has a long history in Carthage. When we've gone there the service has been good; nothing exceptional but courteous and competent. As for the food, I would consider it average. The pizza is good, but the pasta is very run-of-the-mill. (Disclaimer: For three years I lived in southern Germany and spent a great deal of time eating my way through Italy, so my palate for Italian food is "tainted".) I found the sauce to be sweeter than I have become accustomed to and the pasta overcooked. Compared to other local Italian restaurants, however, Stefano's is quite good and the prices are reasonable. You'll leave with a full stomach and your wallet won't be hurting.
