My husband, our daughter, two (one teen and one pre-teen) grandchildren and I went for a Saturday night dinner. Because SLU was having an event weekend, we made reservations at this restaurant that is at the Best Western Hotel connected to the golf course and campus. Two of the catering rooms were packed with parties but the restaurant was almost empty. The dining room was "seedy" looking, a little dingy with an ugly carpet. We ordered one appetizer and our meals that comprised of a steak dinner, two dinner salads, a pretzel sandwich and pan-fried chicken breast and we shared 3 desserts.
The food was much better than we expected and cooked as we asked. The only problem was that the food took a long time to prepare because the catering rooms share the same kitchen. The waitress and hostess were friendly (and apologetic because of the wait).
We were surprised at the cost because we are used to Long Island dinner prices; the cooked meals were especially good at very reasonable prices; the salads were average. If this place had better decor, it would be a place to bring guests and business associates. But if you're in town, try it...especially the cooked entrees.
