We were in town for my brother's wedding and stayed at the B&B for three nights. The Akins are a very friendly couple who gave us a great balance of service and privacy. Breakfast was delicious every morning, and the house was lovely.
The area surrounding the B&B is extremely rural, so if you're looking for a place to go and have a whirlwind vacation with shopping and restaurants, this is not the place. But if you're in the area for some reason or want local access to the beautiful nature and outdoor recreations in the area, then this would be great.
The room was nicely furnished, and had a nice private bathroom. There were only two things about the room my family and I didn't like. One, the air conditioner was extremely loud. It would kick on during the night and startle us awake, and we're all pretty heavy sleepers. Two, there was no lock on the door. That wasn't a problem since we were the only guests in the B&B during our stay, but if there'd been someone staying across the hall I wouldn't have felt comfortable leaving anything of monetary or emotional value in the room when we went out. We did mention that when we left, so hopefully locks will be coming to the doors soon!
