Each year for the last five years my wife and I have been staying at Graziano's Motor Inn during the Madison-Boukville Antique week in August. We have always been pleased with our experience the hotel, which is located behind the restaurant.
We usually arrive late (between 6 and 8 pm) on Monday evenings and opt for eating supper at Graziano's--just a few steps away. Three out of four times our experience in the restaurant has been one of slow (I mean snail-like service). The food is very good, and we barely look at the boxing related memorabilia, which is not that appetizing if you think about it. Each of the three times we have waited well over an hours--at one point two hours! We have been told, that "the cook just quit," "he just cut himself and had to go to the hospital," "there was the usual big Bouckville crown"--the place was only once quarter filled), etc.,etc. The waitresses offered no excuses, nor extra bread and at one point walked out of there way not to go near our table. After the last incident, we spoke to one of the waitresses who promised to "take care of it" by asking our room number. Sadly, there was no follow-up from the management/owner, who always seems to be out of town. During the last evening other diners left as it was taking almost an hour to be served.
As a consequence we at elsewhere and always give the hotel staff and guest our recommendations for dining elsewhere.
We will be back at the motel next year, and may give the dining room another try, but our arms would have to be twisted very hard by the restaurant owner.
